Welcome to this sleep deeply meditation.
This is your time to slow down,
To let go and drift into deep rest.
Make yourself comfortable lying on your back or even on your side.
Take this time to allow the body to settle,
Knowing there is nothing you need to do right now,
Nowhere else to be but here.
Take a slow,
Gentle,
Deep breath in and sigh it out through the mouth.
Again,
Inhale softly and exhale letting your whole body release a little bit more.
Now feel the weight of your body sinking into the bed beneath you,
The surface holding onto you,
Supporting you.
So you can let go completely.
Bring your attention to the top crown of your head.
Imagine a wave of relaxation flowing slowly down,
Releasing any tension as it moves.
Through the forehead,
Softening the eyes,
Unclenching the jaw.
Feel the muscles of your face melt and be free from any tension.
Now continue down the neck and the shoulders.
Notice any tightness here,
Any tension here.
And with your next exhale,
Allow it to dissolve.
Your shoulders are heavy,
Releasing away from the ears.
Now moving down the body to your arms,
Through the elbows,
The wrists and into your hands.
Each finger softens,
Heavy and warm.
Now follow through,
Scanning through the chest and the back.
Your breath is calm and steady,
Rising and falling like gentle ocean waves.
With every exhale,
You sink a little deeper into stillness.
Bringing your attention,
Your awareness to the stomach and the hips.
Releasing the belly,
Releasing the lower back.
Allow the hips to be heavy.
Relax down through your thighs,
Knees,
Calves and all the way into your feet.
The soles of your feet feel warm and relaxed.
Your whole body is now calm.
As you rest here,
Imagine you are lying beneath a sky full of stars.
Above you,
The night is vast and peaceful.
With each breath,
You are cradled by the quiet of the night.
Still,
Safe and supported.
If any thoughts arise,
Let them float away like clouds across the dark sky.
Allow the body to be soft,
Relaxed and still.
Nothing to hold,
Nothing to chase.
You are safe,
You are calm.
You are ready for deep,
Nourishing sleep.
