For this meditation today,
We'll be looking at starting your morning with ease.
I know it may be a really busy period.
Maybe thoughts are swimming in your mind.
This is your time and your place.
To gently set those aside for the time being.
And to root and ground in the present.
If you haven't already,
I invite you to find a comfortable seated position.
Sitting up tall.
Lengthening the style.
And then I'll invite you to find your breath And as you do this,
If it feels right for you,
You can gently close the eyes or lower the gaze.
Without the need to fix or to judge.
Without adding any shoulds into your mind.
Meet yourself where you're at.
And notice what is it that you need.
Sometimes maybe it's a day of rest.
Other times you want to push yourself.
You want to do things.
And so instead of seeing these two ends,
Of being and doing.
Notice how you can form a relationship with it.
Can we be,
But also do?
Can we allow some things to run on autopilot?
But can we be conscious into other parts of our lives?
Notice where your mind is at right now.
Start to bring awareness to your breath.
As you breathe in.
Energy.
Breathing in light.
As you exhale,
Releasing negativity,
Heaviness,
Tension.
I'll invite you to continue with this breath pattern.
Breathing in the things you want to receive.
Breathing out the things you want to let go of.
And really creating space for this.
Creating space for yourself to move with ease.
Without rushing.
Without doing too much.
But just noticing with careful awareness and attention.
Noticing how you are and how you wish to be.
Noticing how you want this day to go.
Noticing what might get in the way.
Again without judgment but just focus,
Compassion looking at it with curiosity.
And so many of us want to start our mornings with ease.
I'll invite you to ask yourself,
What is that ease for you?
How does that look like in your routine?
Does it mean waking up a little bit earlier,
So you have more time for yourself in the mornings?
Does it mean simple rituals and acts?
Such as making a hot cup of coffee.
A practice of journaling.
Or even a practice of sitting with yourself for a couple of minutes.
What does a morning of ease look like and feel like to you?
And as you start to contemplate this,
Notice how this feels in the body.
See if any body sensations arise.
And can you notice them?
Can you connect to them?
And we give space to them.
To make them where they're at.
And remember that you are mourning.
Does it need to look like anyone else's?
Maybe it's something that stays private and sacred to you.
In a world where we can see everyone's morning routines.
In a world where we're being told what to do.
Maybe the strongest thing we can do is to tune back into ourselves.
To know and to own what we want,
To know and to own what brings us joy.
To know and to own that we have the agency and choice to make our own path,
To create that for ourselves.
Maybe it's not having anything.
Else to do.
But just tuning in to our own decisions and being okay with whatever comes up.
It doesn't make us better or worse.
It doesn't mean that we're falling behind.
But it means that you are grounded.
Comfortable in who you are.
Comfortable with your routine.
Comfortable with your decisions.
And maybe that's what matters.
Take a deep breath in.
And a full breath out.
When you are ready,
You can gently bring movement into the fingertips and the toes.
Maybe doing a few simple stretches.
Getting yourself ready for the day.
When you are ready,
You can gently open the eyes.
Thank you so much for listening to this meditation,
And I hope you have a great day ahead.
