For this meditation,
We will be focusing on bringing compassion towards ourselves.
Giving ourselves care.
Grace and softness.
Looking at ourselves through a lens of curiosity.
Without judgment.
Without the need to fix.
But rather just noticing.
With curiosity.
With non-attachment to any outcome.
I'll invite you to start this meditation.
Either lying down or sitting.
It's up to you.
Wherever you are,
Just notice what is beneath you.
Notice the surface beneath you.
Whether it's your bed,
The mat on the floor,
A chair.
Notice the contact.
And know that you are held.
And support it.
If you haven't already.
I'll invite you to let the eyes fall shut or you can lower the gaze.
And this allows us to tune the awareness inwards.
Just for the next few moments.
And then gently finding your breath.
On the inhale,
The body expands,
Creating space.
And on the exhale,
The body softens without collapse.
And as you breathe here.
Tune in to the body sensations.
What is the body trying to tell you?
Do you notice any areas of tension,
Of tightness?
Perhaps gripping or holding.
Become curious with this sensation.
Is it a coping mechanism?
Is it a defense?
Is it a projection?
Protective mechanism.
So often the body tells us so many of the answers we're seeking.
It comes down to moments like these where we give our attention and focus without judgment,
But instead with curiosity.
And it's okay if we don't have the answers.
What matters is attention.
Listening.
The focus.
And the ability to stay with whatever comes up.
Remember that when you look at yourself with compassion,
There's no right or wrong.
There's no better or worse.
There's just the present moment.
However you're showing up today.
Just acknowledge and be.
Now noticing if any emotions are present.
Maybe it's sadness.
Anger.
Fear.
Joy.
And notice the sensations that go along with this emotion.
Continue to be with whatever arises.
The breath.
The body.
The sensations.
The emotion.
As we come to the close of this meditation,
I'll invite you to take two more rounds of breath.
You and even though you may be in a season of challenges.
Uncertainty or struggles.
Just know that there's always hope.
Away.
To come back to yourself.
To show yourself compassion.
Take care.
And grace.
Acknowledging the fact that you are doing the best you can with the resources you have.
And just notice how this feels.
At the moment.
When it feels right for you,
You can gently bring movement into the fingertips or the toes.
And then begin to flicker open the eyes.
Letting the light into the eyes,
Coming back into the space.
I will leave you here today.
Thank you so much for joining me in this meditation and I wish you a great day ahead.
