Welcome to this guided meditation,
Healing your inner child.
Sit or lie down in a comfortable position.
Close your eyes and just become aware of your body.
Take a few deep breaths,
Breathing through your nose and use your exhalation to let go of any tension.
If any thoughts arise,
It's okay,
Don't engage with them.
Just keep focusing on your breath and they will go.
Visualize how your body relaxes more and more with each breath.
Now visualize yourself as a young child,
A young version of yourself.
That innocent,
Lovely little girl that still lives within you.
Stand in front of her,
Look at her with love and compassion.
See what she's doing,
What she looks like,
How she's feeling.
Is she scared or sad,
Feeling lonely?
How old is she?
Just look at her.
Now approach her and ask her,
What do you need from me?
Just be there for her and see if she has anything else to say.
Now feeling your heart full of love and compassion,
Tell your inner child,
I see you,
I love you,
I will protect you,
I understand how you feel and I'm here for you.
I won't leave you,
I will always be here for you anytime you need me.
Tell her any other things she might need to hear.
Now visualize yourself holding her hand,
Maybe touching her face with love,
Maybe hugging her.
She might not be ready for this and that's okay.
Sometimes we need more time to integrate and to receive our self-love.
It's okay,
You can come back anytime.
Just let her know that you will always be here for her.
Now it's time to leave and say goodbye.
You feel loved,
Nurtured and healed.
Put your hands on your heart and feel how your body feels with love.
And when you're ready,
Bring your attention to your body,
To your hands,
Your toes,
Your legs,
Your arms.
Start to move them slowly.
Bring your attention to the room and see if you notice any noises or smell.
And when you're ready,
You can open your eyes.
