Today we're going to do a candle meditation.
I love to do this every time I need that break.
Every time I need to just stop and be aware of the present moment.
So there are two ways to do this.
The first one is to light up a candle and sit in front of it.
Or the second one is to play a video of a candle.
So what we're going to do is we're going to take a few long deep breaths in and out.
So take a deep breath in and a deep breath out.
Breathe in and breathe out.
Focus on how your lungs expand while you're breathing in and how you feel when you're breathing out.
Now I would like you to pay attention to the flame.
Watch the flame as it moves.
Observe it.
If your mind starts wandering,
It's okay.
Bring your attention back to the flame.
Notice the different colors on the flame.
Notice the texture of your candle and the color.
Ask yourself how does the flame make you feel?
Observe the smoke that's coming out of the flame.
Observe the wax if there's any wax melting.
Again if your mind starts wandering,
It's okay.
Just go back to the flame.
You can observe the flame as long as you want to.
Take a deep breath in and out.
What is the flame trying to tell you?
Is it telling you anything?
Don't doubt yourself.
Listen to that inner voice.
Now imagine that flame while you breathe in.
Imagine you're breathing in that light and you're breathing out that light too.
So visualize this light inside your body.
And if you're having a bad day,
Imagine that light is washing everything away.
And if you have any negative thoughts,
Breathe in this positive light and imagine the light is burning everything away.
If you have any unwanted feelings,
Imagine the light is burning everything away.
Allow the light to fill your body up with joy.
Feel the happiness and the excitement.
Smile and enjoy the moment.
Allow the flame to be that spark in your destiny.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes and make that wish or that petition or that desire or something that you've always wanted to the candle.
Say thanks and thank you for listening.
