Welcome to this true rest journey.

Start by making your body comfortable.

Noticing what's already here.

The feeling of the body,

The feeling of the breath,

The presence of thoughts and allowing everything to be quiet.

Giving time and space for everything to settle.

Leaving everything alone and resting in simply being.

So give your mind and body time.

Let the energies of your body,

The energies of thought,

Let these energies settle in their own time.

Give these energies space to be here.

So that you're just noticing,

But without trying to control,

Without interfering.

Resting is a quiet,

Natural,

Effortless awareness.

Let your breath be deep and wide.

Let the exhalation be long.

And when your body's taken as many of those deep breaths as it needs,

Just let your breath be.

Allow your body to breathe naturally.

No controlling,

No directing.

Just noticing breath.

Feeling the body and allowing your whole body to soften.

The face,

The eyes,

The jaw,

Shoulders sinking down.

Gently resolving to be awake,

Aware and present for this journey.

But allowing your body to be soft,

At rest.

Noticing the space behind the eyes.

Being aware of whatever you can see there.

Any colours,

Shapes or forms that are naturally appearing in front of your closed eyelids.

If there's nothing there right now,

Just stay.

Stay with however it is.

Wide open,

Open and receptive to whatever may appear in this space behind the eyes.

And now in this space,

Visualise yourself.

Standing on a pathway that stretches in front of you.

Feeling the ground beneath your feet.

Feeling safe.

Feeling the touch of air on the skin.

And taking this path,

Walking confidently along this path.

Not knowing where it will lead.

And yet feeling safe and secure.

And as you progress along this path,

You can come to an opening,

Into a forest.

Continuing to walk in.

And then stopping for a moment.

To really take in your surroundings.

Feeling the cool earth beneath your feet.

The warm air against your skin.

The rays of light shining through the leaves and the trees.

The lush foliage around you.

All the different shades of green.

All of the plants,

Alive and fresh.

A residue of dew on the leaves.

The fresh air.

The sound of the birds.

The sound of nature.

As all of the creatures that inhabit this forest go about their business.

These animals calling you in.

Welcoming you to be here.

Feeling safe and secure.

And breathing deeply.

Enjoying the fresh air.

Filling your lungs with energy and oxygen.

And exhaling deeply.

Continuing to walk along the path.

Feeling safe.

Feeling contented.

At ease.

Safe and happy.

And as you continue along the path.

Noticing a wooden bench.

And taking a few moments to sit quietly.

To enjoy this magical forest.

The sounds of nature.

The feeling of the earth beneath your feet.

Feeling where your sitting bones meet the bench.

Allowing your whole body to soften.

Let your shoulders drop.

Let your arms be loose.

As you sit in stillness in this magical forest.

Enjoying the beauty,

The life of this place.

Feeling a connection with everything around you.

As you listen to the language of the birds.

The animals.

Really connected to this life.

Pausing just to be here.

Quiet and still.

The warmth of the sun against the skin.

And then coming back to the path.

And walking further along.

Take your time to feel every step.

To feel the cool,

Nourishing earth beneath your feet.

Feeling the smell of the clean,

Fresh air.

All of the colours around you.

The bright blue sky.

All the shades of the vegetation.

The plants and the trees.

And as you continue along the path.

Just in front of you.

A small temple.

And as you proceed along the path.

Coming closer and closer to this temple.

Being drawn to it.

And when you arrive,

Opening the door.

Entering the temple.

And sitting quietly.

Feeling the stillness.

The sacredness of this space.

Feeling with your eyes closed.

Feeling wide open and receptive.

What does this space want you to know?

What does this space want to reveal?

This is a space that you can trust.

But is here for your highest good.

That speaks in a language of a deep felt sense.

A knowing.

So as you rest here openly.

Allowing whatever is already here.

Remaining open and available.

Letting all effort rest.

Letting all trying cease.

This temple is a space where you don't need to try.

And then opening your eyes.

And really taking in the beauty of this space.

A temple that is filled with crystals.

Sparkling.

And then as you get up,

Take a moment of gratitude.

Thanking this space for whatever it may have revealed now or what it may reveal in the future.

And then walking back out into the forest.

Back onto the path.

And taking your time again to enjoy the beauty all around you.

Taking however long you need to walk back.

Enjoying the sounds.

The sights.

The smells.

The touch of air on the skin.

And when you're ready to leave,

Reach the end of the path.

Turning back for a moment to be grateful for this magical place that is within you.

That you can visit anytime.

That will always be here.

And then allowing your breath to deepen.

Taking a few really full,

Deep and wide breaths.

Letting the exhalation go.

And then allowing your body to stretch and move when it's ready.

Taking your time.

Inviting a very gentle return of mind,

Body and world.

Knowing that you can come back here in any moment.
