You can be happy right now by appreciating that which you already have.
So find a comfortable position and prepare to relax and to get in touch with your inner gratitude.
Focus on the top of your head.
Move all of your awareness to this part of your body,
The very top of your head.
Become aware of your scalp.
Feel a warmth and a pulsation.
Now relax your scalp and let it go.
Let this feeling of relaxation begin to move down to your forehead.
Smooth out any lines and relax the skin.
Relax the muscles under the skin.
Your forehead is relaxing and letting go.
Your entire face begins to relax.
Focus on your nose,
Your sinus area.
Relax and move down to your cheeks.
Feel your cheeks becoming warmer as your entire face relaxes.
Relax your mouth,
Your tongue and just let your jaw drop.
Move your awareness down further to your neck,
Relaxing all the muscles in the front and the back of the neck.
Your entire head is now in a deep and natural state of relaxation.
Feel this relaxation starting to move down your body like a wave.
Relax your hands and fingers.
They feel heavy and thick.
The palms of your hands start to feel tingly.
Move down to the soles of your feet and become aware of a tingling sensation there too in the soles of your feet.
Now let your feet go.
Let them drift away.
Let this feeling of letting go move up to your ankles,
Knees and thighs.
Let your legs just dissolve.
Let this feeling move up to your arms and let them just drift away as if they no longer belong to your body.
You now feel light and edgeless.
I will now count from five down to one.
With each descending number you will feel yourself going deeper and deeper.
Five,
Four,
Three,
Going within,
Two and one.
You are now at one with your inner self and just enjoy this peace and this calmness.
You may find your mind might drift away a little.
Just bring it back to my voice without judgment and always with kindness.
Just one thought comes,
Let it go.
Let the thoughts come like clouds and just float past.
As you become a witness to this parade of thoughts.
Don't attach to the thought.
Say next and come back to the voice.
Bring to mind the people in your life that support you and thank them.
Feel gratitude for the people in your past,
Present and future that have been there and will be there for you,
Including friends as well as family.
Thank them for the lessons they have taught you about yourself and for allowing you into their life.
Make sure they know that you appreciate them.
Be grateful now for your health.
Thank your body for all the silent work that goes on behind the scenes to keep you functioning day to day.
We don't even have to think about breathing or all the other ways it keeps us alive.
An attitude of gratitude will accelerate the healing processes of the body.
So show your body some gratitude by promising to make healthy choices to support its work.
Fill yourself with gratitude for your wondrous and amazing body.
Be grateful for all the experiences you've had and will have that bring joy and happiness.
Think about the sweetness of a mother's love or a father's playfulness or the joy of a child's innocent smile.
Be grateful for the experiences of traveling to meet people around the world and realize that we're all connected with love and gratitude in our hearts.
Be thankful of all the wonderful feelings you've enjoyed.
A good belly laugh is priceless.
Give thanks to the music that makes you dance that gives you joy.
Be grateful for a pet that licks your nose when you first wake up and gives the gift of unconditional love and acceptance.
You are now becoming grateful for all the deep and soulful experiences in your life.
You will always have an inner wealth of valuable and precious experiences.
Show gratefulness for each and every day that is given to you as a gift.
This is not just another day in your life.
It's a gift.
If you treat it as your first or your last day,
Then you will have had a wonderful day.
The only appropriate response for any day is gratefulness.
So now I would like you to visualize a beautiful crystal clear lake.
I would like you to see yourself standing on the edge of this motionless,
Clean water.
It's so still.
It has a reflection like a mirror.
So when you now look over the edge into the lake,
You can see your own relaxed,
Glowing reflection looking back at you.
Say to your image,
I am happy and healthy.
I am honest and loving and peaceful.
I am abundant and prosperous.
I am grateful for every day.
Allow these affirmations to sink deeply,
Deeply into your mind.
As you enjoy this peace and unconditional love rising up through every pore of your being and flowing through the cells of your body.
