We can sometimes feel alone or lonely,

Even when we are surrounded by people.

We don't always know why we feel this way,

And we don't always know what to do to change the feeling.

But by doing this simple meditation,

The sense of loneliness should pass,

Leaving us feeling happier in ourselves.

So wherever you are,

Whether sitting or lying down,

I invite you to make yourself comfortable and gently close your eyes.

Take a deep breath in,

As deep as you like,

And now slowly release that breath.

Again,

Take a breath in,

A little deeper than before,

And now slowly release that breath.

As you take one last breath in,

Really fill your body with air and slowly release that breath.

As you breathe at your own pace,

You notice your body feels relaxed and your mind centered.

Check that your shoulders are truly relaxed as we begin this meditation.

In your mind's eye,

You are going to bring three people before you.

Three people either in spirit or still walking on the earth plane.

Three people whose opinion you value.

You may have difficulty choosing these people.

You may feel you should choose someone family related or someone you have spent a lot of time with.

But choose carefully.

This is your choice and yours alone.

Don't feel pressured in any way.

Choose three people who you trust,

Who you know want the best for you.

With the three people you have chosen,

You sit together in a place that is comfortable to you.

A place which feels warm and welcoming.

Settled,

You look at the three familiar faces in front of you.

You ask each of them in turn,

Do you love me?

And wait for their answer.

These people adore you and their answer warms your heart.

Next you ask each of them in turn,

What words of wisdom do you have for me?

Each of these people want the best for you and their words of wisdom will lift you up.

Take your time with each person so they can give you the words needed to inspire you.

Having received their messages and words of wisdom,

You no longer feel lonely or unmotivated.

You feel warm and inspired.

Knowing you are on the right path with someone always in touch with you.

Spiritually guiding and creating opportunities for you.

You thank each person in turn,

Letting them know how their kindness and support has made you feel.

It's time to say goodbye.

And after each farewell,

The people before you slowly disappear.

They have left you with the knowing that you can call on them anytime you need some uplifting words.

You come back to your room and you take a deep breath in as you wiggle your fingers and toes.

And as you release the breath,

You slowly open your eyes.

The feeling of loneliness is now a distant memory and the thought of its return no longer worries you.

As you know,

You can return to this meditation whenever you need to.

Thank you for meditating with me.

I would love to hear your feedback if you can spare a moment to comment.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Bye for now.

I enjoyed your use of long pauses. Very effective. One does not have to fill the airwaves with speech.
