Hello and welcome.
Thank you for joining me for this morning gratitude and intention meditation.
Let's begin by sitting or laying down comfortably.
Rest your hands gently on your heart center or by your sides.
And let your eyes softly close and bring your awareness to your breath.
I want you to take a deep breath in through your nose and then slowly exhale through your mouth,
Relaxing your body as you breathe out.
Let's just repeat this on our own for a few breaths.
Allowing each inhale to gently fill your lungs and each exhale to be slow and relaxed.
At the end of your exhale,
Hold the breath for just a moment,
Feeling the stillness,
And then breathe in again,
Slow and steady.
Allow yourself to settle into this calming rhythm of breathing.
Next,
Bring to mind one thing you're grateful for this morning.
It could be something small or something big.
Perhaps the warmth of your bed,
The sunlight streaming through the window,
Or maybe a connection you've made recently.
Hold this gratitude in your heart for a moment,
Feeling its warmth spread throughout your body.
Gently ask yourself,
What would I like my intention to be for today?
It could be something simple like experiencing peace,
Happiness,
Or security.
Allow this intention to come naturally,
Without forcing it,
And when it arrives,
Let it settle in your mind and in your heart.
As we begin to close this practice,
Return to your breath.
Once again,
Breathe in deeply through your nose and exhale slowly through your mouth,
Holding the breath for a brief pause at the end of each exhale.
Let your mind and body relax further with each breath.
Finally,
Silently or aloud,
Say the affirmation,
Today is going to be a great day.
Show me how good it gets to be.
Good it gets to be.
When you're ready,
Gently open your eyes,
Carrying this sense of peace,
Gratitude,
And intention with you into the rest of your day.
