Cyrus here.
Welcome to this super short midday meditation.
This is if you're a little bit tired,
Maybe you've hit a wall and you just want to reset your mind and your body and your emotions and retrack into a really awesome rhythm for the rest of your day in a really short timeframe.
So you can do this when lying down.
I recommend just grabbing a chair,
Sitting upright with your back straight.
You can have your eyes open on a spot or you can close your eyes.
Whatever feels better.
Super short so it doesn't really matter either way.
And now that your spine is straight and your hands are comfortable in your lap,
Your feet are rested on the floor and relaxed,
Just go ahead and start to notice what your breathing is doing in this moment.
Is it shallow?
Is it smooth and deep?
Just take a moment to take one slow deep breath into your stomach and out through your mouth,
A nice long exhalation.
Now just draw your attention to how you feel in your stomach.
Notice your emotion and your feeling and instead of resisting it or trying to change it,
Just let it be what it is in this moment.
Whatever's going on during your day,
Whatever's happened so far,
Just try to let it be in the background for now.
And take this as an opportunity to reset the trajectory of your day,
Hitting the pause button and aiming yourself in a new direction as you gently draw your attention to your tongue,
Feeling the sensations of your tongue and just allowing it to relax to the floor of your mouth.
Noticing your neck and shoulders,
Is there tension there?
And just gently allowing that area to soften with an effortless release.
Now noticing your back,
Allowing your back to relax without changing your posture and allowing your chest and stomach to soften and open as the breath drops further down,
Lowering your center of gravity and calming you naturally.
Notice your pelvic floor and release any tension in that area.
Finally bring your attention to your legs and feet.
See if you're holding any unconscious tension or sense of anticipation in your legs and feet and just give them full permission to release and unwind,
Keeping your mind and focus sharp as the body relaxes.
And now spontaneously feeling the whole body up and down as one big ball of vibrating energy.
Noticing your thoughts coming through,
Maybe they seem a bit distracting but just letting them go and going deeper,
Deeper into the vibrating energy of your body head to toe and your breath as it comes to you.
Centering yourself in one final moment of stillness and silence.
And finally taking a moment to visualize and see yourself relaxed and focused throughout the rest of your day.
Carrying this new fresh energy,
This new rhythm with you into your day consciously as you open your eyes and slowly come back into your body.
