I love caffeine,
And I quit at cold turkey over a decade ago,
And I've never looked back after deciding the energy crashes and instability were too much of a cost to pay,
And I've since discovered you can create the same relaxed and energized caffeinated effect with the power of your consciousness,
Which is what we're gonna do today.
So be skeptical,
But also be a little open-minded as you imagine a world where you could have all the benefits of caffeine with none of the dependency or downsides.
Okay,
Go and find a comfortable position,
Either sitting upright or lying down,
Whatever feels intuitive and comfortable.
Comfortable.
And when you're ready,
Close your eyes.
And start by taking a deep,
Powerful breath in through the nose like you're breathing a big ball of energy all the way down to your toes.
And as you exhale,
Allow yourself to decompress and soften.
Exhaling slowly out through the mouth like you're breathing out through a straw.
And now just relax any super obvious tension you notice in your muscles.
No need to be perfect about it,
But just looking for any obvious tension and letting it soften even 10 or 20%.
And letting your breath return to a natural cadence and imagining as though your breath is a warm caffeinated drink of your choice.
Something that you ritualistically like to sip on with no distractions.
The type of thing that you treat yourself to and let the rest of the world fade away.
Imagine like your breath is like taking a sip on that drink.
And as the breath flows in through your nostrils,
Just imagine yourself sipping on it.
And the warmth of that energy of that breath drink is dropping into your body.
Starting to warm and relax the interior of the body.
And let yourself take that satisfying exhale the same way you might after a sip of a warm drink.
And just start to tune into that rhythm with the breath,
Really giving yourself permission to let the world fade away and be present with nothing but the satisfying warmth of each breath as it drops in at your pace.
Just savoring the simple pleasure of each inhale.
And each exhale as the warmth cascades through the body.
And allows you to relax deeper into the simplicity of this moment.
And keep savoring those inhales and exhales one moment at a time,
With the same permission you might give yourself as you sip on that drink to not need to do anything quite yet.
Just giving yourself permission to enjoy this little slice of life as you savor the warmth and relaxation of each breath in.
And each breath out.
And now tune in to the legs and feet specifically.
And notice any tension or bracing in the legs and feet relaxing and opening up into the softness and warmth of this moment that you're just allowing yourself to hang out in.
Just regard this moment with that pleasurable casualness.
And just guide the attention up into the pelvis.
And allow any obvious holding to drop into the support.
And guide the attention up into the core,
Feeling the stomach and chest and back.
Softening and opening with a sense of warmth and ease as you breathe into the core and allow it to bloom on the exhale.
And notice the arms and hands.
And any holding,
Any readiness that they have,
Just give them permission to become supple and relaxed As you allow the tension to easily drain out of them and notice the neck and shoulders.
And allow the spindles of the muscles of the neck and shoulders to become just a little bit softer,
A little bit more loose.
And imagine that relaxation cascading in reverse up into the face,
Letting the jaw soften Letting the mouth be soft and relaxed.
Letting the muscles around the eyes relax and allowing it to move into the scalp and the temples.
Just the whole chain of muscles softening.
And now take a breath in and imagine the wave of energy diffusing through the whole body on the exhale.
Feel the whole body relaxed and open at the same time with your relaxed instinctive attention.
Feel the chi,
The life energy,
The buzz of aliveness echoing through the entire body,
Head to toe,
Dancing with a quiet joy.
Not thinking,
Just sensing and feeling and breathing as you dance with that buzz of aliveness,
Head to toe,
Moment to moment.
And imagine like your breath is a natural caffeinator now as you inhale a little bit more vigorously at your intensity and cadence into the body and start to really feel the energy and aliveness amplifying with each breath head to toe.
Like you're sending down a wave of energy and then allowing it to thicken and amplify in intensity.
As it blooms on its way back up on the exhale.
Not thinking,
Just getting lost in the flow of energy as it intensifies,
As it energizes head to toe as you breathe and flow with the wave that you're effortlessly sending up and down the body.
And as you keep breathing and flowing with that energy and allowing it to grow at its own spontaneous pace,
Allow yourself to start to bubble and overflow with an excess and abundance of that natural caffeinated buzz.
That feeling in your body you have when you're in the sweet spot of the perfect amount of caffeine,
Allow yourself to breathe that in and feel that now.
Home.
Not thinking about it or limiting it,
But simply allowing yourself to feel it and overflow with it as much as possible,
Moment to moment.
And now see in your mind's eye that version of yourself that feels that perfect effervescence that you feel with that perfect amount of caffeine.
See that super relaxed and deeply energized balance you have and see what other qualities you have when you're in your sweet spot.
Is there a social outgoingness?
Is there a playfulness?
Is there a creativity?
Is there a joy?
Whatever there is,
Just see that clearly and welcome that in.
And like magic,
Allow yourself to feel that now,
Fine-tuning your energy field to what you're seeing and allowing yourself to breathe in and embody that version of yourself right now.
Not thinking,
But just relaxing and opening and receiving that version of yourself head to toe,
Saturating your energy with it,
With the breath.
Any limits,
Any logic,
Any inner resistance,
Any cap you're putting on it,
Just allow that to completely dissolve and imagine like you can feel that way entirely right now.
Overflowing with the energy of that version of yourself,
Of that sweet spot,
As you welcome it to overflow completely from you,
Head to toe with the breath.
In it.
And see yourself not blocking but welcoming that moment to moment through the rest of your day.
See clearly a version of yourself that's so alive and magnetized into the moment by feeling that buzz of energy,
Relaxed and free,
Head to toe,
That it's easy to flow and be in the moment,
Seeing that as you visualize the rest of your day.
And set an intention to bring that energy into the next thing you want to create,
Having fun with it.
When you feel ready,
Open your eyes.
Notice any shift in how you feel and the state you've created simply with your consciousness,
Your breath,
And your intention.
And the more you practice this session,
The stronger your muscle to create this state even more intensely and vividly will improve each time.
