In this consciousness-expanding track, we'll begin by relaxing, breathing and grounding, and then gradually widening our awareness to spread across the globe. Then, we'll go to space, further and further out until we're able to get total perspective on our worldly problems, processing things fully and returning to earth with a fresh outlook and feeling.

Hey,

I'm Cyrus.

Welcome to this meditation session on becoming as big as the universe and getting perspective on your life and problems.

Start off by eliminating any potential distractions,

Sitting upright or lying down in a comfortable position,

And closing your eyes.

Begin by taking a deep breath in through your nose,

Filling up your lungs with oxygen,

And releasing it out through the mouth with a sigh.

Let's do two more like that,

Finding a rhythm,

Breathing in deeply,

And releasing effortlessly.

Last one,

Deepest one yet,

Breathing in,

Filling up the entire body with the breath.

And slowly releasing out through the mouth.

Making any final adjustments to your physical position now so that you feel alert but comfortable,

And settling in to stillness,

Committing to that physical stillness in your mind with consistency now.

Begin by noticing the little muscles around your eyes,

And allowing them to drop and relax.

Notice your tongue dropping to the floor of your mouth and your jaw releasing.

Staying alert in your mind as the neck and shoulders soften and drop any tension.

The arms and hands settling and releasing all effort.

The chest and stomach blooming and softening with the breath.

Allowing the back muscles to open and release tension.

Feeling the pelvic floor settling into the support,

And the legs and feet unclenching any tension.

Letting the breath ripple down the body like a wave,

And allowing any remaining tension to effortlessly dissolve into a deeper relaxation as your mind stays alert and sharp.

Begin by noticing your whole body head to toe,

All the vibrations effervescently dancing with aliveness.

Feeling and sensing that energy expanding past the limits of your skin,

And feeling as though you have an energy that is emanating a few feet around your body.

With your eyes closed and your body still,

Start to feel and sense the room around you,

Perhaps hearing the sounds that you notice.

Releasing thinking and analysis mode and shifting consciously into feeling,

Sensing,

And direct awareness mode as you sense the room around you.

And before we expand our awareness even further,

Just take a moment to be aware of your body and your immediate surroundings,

And your life here on earth as it is.

With all of its beauty and all of its challenges,

Just being aware and allowing things to be as they are in your current perception for a moment.

And as we expand further now,

Let us rely on perhaps our imagination,

But beyond that even our feeling and instincts,

Our sixth sense if you will,

As we start to feel past the room,

Out into the building that you are currently in.

Feeling and sensing the building in its entirety.

And now expanding to sense and feel the block around you,

The entire block.

Gradually imagining and feeling your way even further as you expand to feel and sense the neighborhood that you're in.

Expanding further as though you're stretching your energetic legs out into the entire town or city that you currently occupy.

Not thinking,

Just feeling and sensing.

And if it feels right to you,

Just allowing the sense of the body to melt into the energy around you and just becoming one with the sense of the town or city that you're in.

The energy merging completely.

Expanding to the entire country that you're in,

From coast to coast and top to bottom.

Connected to the peaks and valleys,

Waterfalls and nature that stretches across the entire nation.

And now sending out a gentle but powerful wave of energy as it ripples around the entire globe.

Feeling your energy stretching and wrapping around the entire earth,

Becoming one with the whole planet.

And now feeling your energy and awareness expanding into the atmosphere.

Slowly encroaching into zero gravity as part of you stays safe and grounded on the earth and another part of you safely floats and levitates effortlessly into space.

Part of you looking down on earth now,

All the lights and contours of continents,

Just tiny specks and scribbles from this vantage point.

Allowing yourself to drift and float even further outward with your awareness,

Dancing among the stars,

Seeing the planets and their gaseous circumference in your peripherals.

Going even further to the edges of the Milky Way,

Feeling yourself becoming an endless constellation of stars and space.

Stretching past the membrane of the Milky Way now to feel yourself as every galaxy at the same time,

Becoming the entirety of the universe,

Deep and beautiful space in this timeless moment.

Allowing yourself to float and relish this feeling of total connection and immersion in everything at once,

Beyond all thought or comprehension.

And from this perspective of becoming and being the universe,

Let's take a moment to observe our life on earth.

Seeing ourselves perhaps not as small or insignificant,

But simply an inextricable interwoven part of this tapestry,

And allowing ourselves to take a moment of self-compassion for what we're experiencing at this moment in time in our physical form.

And if there's any shift in feeling or perspective that we wish to adopt from this broader vantage point of being the entire universe,

Just allowing ourselves to feel through and process that now.

And however you wish to come back down to earth now,

Whether on a really sturdy parachute,

A space unicorn,

A really dense cloud,

Or a magical carpet,

Just allowing yourself to slowly come back down to earth.

Retaining all the perspective and beauty of your expansive journey as you gradually float back down and become aware of your neighborhood,

Of your building,

Your room,

And the energy within and around your body.

And now taking a brief moment to envision yourself moving forward with this fresh perspective and whatever you've felt,

Processed,

And realized that will benefit you going forward.

Visualizing that and feeling that new fresh feeling of your choice in your body as you see it.

Take as long as you want to simmer in and enjoy that feeling that you've created.

And when you feel ready,

Gently open your eyes and move at your own pace,

Just gradually warming up and reentering the physical realm in whatever way feels right to you.
