Om Shrim Maha Lakshmiyei Swaha. Working with Lakshmi energy, we are claiming abundance and gratitude. Japa meditation is a beautiful way to slow down the mind by focusing on the meditative repetition of a mantra. Japa means 'muttering' or 'whispering', so we repeat the mantra out loud or in a low voice. We use mala beads to keep count of the number of repetitions, moving the thumb from one bead to the next. There are traditionally 108 beads on a mala necklace, which constitutes one round.
