Try it every day for 7 or 21 days and notice the positive ripple that morning meditation has on your day.
So getting comfy,
Closing down your eyes if you like and beginning with a few nice deep breaths.
Breathing in fresh oxygen.
Breathing out stale air from last night.
One more.
Now opening to these poetic words.
Even after all this time,
The Sun never says to the earth,
You owe me.
Look what happens with a love like that.
It lights up the whole sky.
Taking a few more deep cleansing breaths into the possibility that you could move through today with a sense of lightness and ease.
Giving,
Contributing,
Engaging and responding without any expectations of what you might receive in return.
How does that make you feel?
Awareness moving now towards your head and your brain.
And as you breathe in,
Imagining that fresh oxygen is moving through your third eye,
Or the space between your two eyebrows into your brain.
And as you breathe out,
Imagining that a cleansing energy is moving through your brain.
On the inhale,
Oxygen is greeting your brain.
On the exhale,
A soft cleansing energy is seeping into all the different parts of your brain.
The prefrontal cortex,
The limbic system,
The pituitary gland,
Brainstem,
Hippocampus and midbrain.
Entire brain washed,
Cleansed and ready for this new day.
Repeating these affirmations silently after me,
I am valuable and will make a positive contribution to the world today.
I am learning to trust the journey.
I choose thoughts that empower and support me.
Awareness moving now to your heart.
As you inhale,
Noticing how your chest expands in all directions.
Front,
Back,
Sides,
Top,
Bottom.
Over the next few rounds of breath,
Really focusing on this 360 degree expansion.
Each full cycle of breath,
Waking your heart so that today you can feel your emotions freely,
Tap into your intuition and feel both wise and compassionate.
Repeating these affirmations silently after me,
There is enough love and success for everybody.
I am safe to feel and express my emotions.
I trust and act from my intuition.
And finally,
Scanning your physical body.
Noticing any aches and pains,
Any pockets of stiffness or numbness.
And over the next few rounds of breath,
Offering these parts of you fresh oxygen and vitality.
Allowing this sense of vitality to travel deeper as it arrives at your bones,
Organs,
Tissues and ligaments.
With each cleansing inhale,
Fresh oxygen and life force greeting the blood that moves within your veins.
The water within your body,
Every cell.
Repeating these affirmations silently after me,
I love and respect my body.
I am capable of making healthy choices.
I have strong boundaries.
Enjoying one final deep life affirming breath.
Mind,
Heart and body ready for this new day.
