But none of that was yours.
Breathe deeply now.
Feel your ribs expand,
As if making room for your own truth.
And place a gentle hand over your heart.
Feel the warmth.
Feel the steadiness.
And whisper again,
It is safe to want more now.
Your desires are not dangerous,
They are not burdens,
They are not signs of greed.
They are signs of life returning to your body.
Let your breath slow,
Let your shoulders soften,
And let your ribs release years of tightening.
