Hello friend,
Thank you for being here today,
For showing up for yourself.
This meditation is going to offer you a tool that you can tap back into any time you're feeling some hopelessness or overwhelmed or just need to reconnect to the beauty of your life.
We're going to begin by finding a position that feels supportive for you today and I want you to remember that at any time you can stop this meditation,
Change your position,
Open your eyes,
Just doing whatever you need to do to feel safe in this moment with me.
Now just taking time to look around your space,
Just noticing the details of what is around you,
Looking left,
Looking right,
Finding a feeling of safety as you orient yourself to the space around you.
When you feel ready,
I invite you to soften your gaze or close your eyes.
Start coming into your body through your senses,
Noticing what you can feel,
The earth below you here to support you,
The air on your skin,
Your breath as it enters and leaves your body.
Noticing what you can hear,
My voice,
The ambient noises around you,
Your heart beating in your chest,
And just starting to notice your breath.
Not changing or controlling it,
Just noticing the quality.
If it feels safe for you,
I invite you to deepen or slow your breath ever so slightly,
Allowing your body to soften with every exhale.
I want you to take a moment and think of a time when you can remember feeling peace and love in your body.
A time that felt free of worry or judgment.
A time when you felt most connected to the beautiful essence of who you truly are.
It could be a moment as simple as sitting alone on a beach on a sunny summer day,
Or a gathering with loved ones for a special occasion,
Or an unexpected hug from someone special in your life.
Any moment in time that feels deeply nourishing to you.
As you think of this moment,
I want you to begin to look around you and notice how old are you?
Where are you?
Who are you with?
What are you wearing?
What season is it?
What are you doing?
Are you inside or outside?
What sensations can you feel on your skin?
What thoughts are in your mind?
What do you feel in your body?
What do you feel in your heart?
Allow yourself to feel this fully,
Knowing you can access this beautiful memory anytime you want to.
When you're ready,
I invite you to begin noticing your breath.
Noticing as it enters your body,
As your chest and abdomen rise,
And as it leaves.
Noticing the ground beneath you.
Noticing the sound of my voice.
Gently taking your attention outside of your body,
Into the space around you.
What can you hear in the room?
What can you feel in the space around you?
When you feel ready,
Slowly opening your eyes and looking at the space around you.
Looking left,
Looking right.
Just reorienting yourself in the here and now.
I invite you to take one deep breath with me,
And exhaling with a sigh.
Remembering that showing up today was a beautiful gift of love to yourself.
You can choose to use this tool anytime you want.
I just want to remind you,
You are safe,
You are enough,
You are loved.
Thank you.
