So let's choose a comfortable seated position.
If you're sitting on the floor,
On a cushion,
That's great.
Legs crossed.
If you are on a chair,
Your feet can be firmly on the ground,
Feeling grounded.
Your hands can be on your knees or in your lap.
And now just dropping your chin down to your chest,
Closing your eyes.
And let's take in some beautiful deep breaths today,
Just to boost our immune system and really fill those lungs.
Breathing in through the nose slowly and out through the nose slowly.
Release,
Release what doesn't serve you today.
Release any anxieties.
That's it.
Good.
Breathing in again.
And let go.
Last one.
In through the nose,
Out through the mouth.
Breathing in.
And release out the mouth.
Sigh the breath out slowly.
That's great.
You can lift your chin a little higher,
Just at a 45 degree angle.
Your eyes can be down to the ground or closed.
Let's not look around or be distracted.
So relaxing the mind free from distraction and busyness moves us into the alpha brainwave state.
And it is in this state where great ideas occur.
We sometimes move into the state when we are relaxed,
We're having a bath,
We are going for a walk.
Sometimes we wake up at night and we have great ideas.
When we wake up,
We're lying in the dark.
And it's because we're in that alpha state.
When we're in busy,
Busy mode,
Beta brainwave state,
There's very little creativity.
Settling your mind on your breath,
Feeling the breath at one particular place in your body.
It may be in the abdomen or at the chest or at the nostrils.
Let us let go of wanting to engage with our thoughts,
With the sounds around us.
We're just aware of them.
But we can disengage and just observe that your thoughts are not necessarily a part of you or who you are.
It's a different angle.
And creativity is really born from also seeing things from another point of view,
From a different perspective.
We can be curious today,
Curious about whatever judgments we feel towards ourselves or to other people or situations or even what's going on in our world right now and how people are reacting.
We can see past those judgments and just be curious.
The spirit of curiosity is a great stimulator for creativity.
To always be able to switch our perspective and point of view and see things from different sides.
And now we're going to play with the creative art of visualization.
And it's exactly what you do when you read a great novel.
Your mind goes on this journey of pictures and colors and sounds that are not really there but they are in your mind.
Let us just imagine within us at our heart center is a beautiful red rose.
And this red rose is a symbol of your compassion and your care and your love for everyone at the moment,
Your family,
Your friends,
Yourself,
Everyone that's being affected right now,
Feeling stress and anxiety,
Whatever illnesses are going on,
Just a deep care and concern.
And it's in the symbol of a beautiful and fragrant red rose at your heart.
And inside this red rose is a sparkling diamond.
This diamond represents your wisdom.
Wisdom is really the ability to see things from different points of view and understand them.
We would normally call a wise person someone who has that ability to do that.
And to know that we can cultivate this within ourselves,
This ability to see so many different parts.
And we use a diamond because of its so many different facets.
And it's just really resting in that beautiful rose in the center,
In its petals,
Just a diamond in the rose,
Using your mind's eye to see that inside of you.
And the diamond is sparkling.
It has beautiful light which reflects throughout your body,
Whatever anxieties or feelings of depression or sadness or anger or any ill health is just removed by this beautiful fragrance within you and the sparkling light which shines in all parts of you,
Illuminating you,
Giving you clarity.
From this place of clarity,
New ideas may arise of how we can be of benefit to others and how we can keep ourselves going.
Imagine that this clarity of light and this fragrance we can share with others.
It goes out from us.
It can leave us on our breath.
It can shine out from our hearts in whichever ways that you can creatively imagine it moving outwards to your friends and your family and people that you haven't seen in a while,
That you miss.
Just going out and out,
Reaching out into your neighborhood,
Everybody else that's feeling afraid and uncertain at this time,
Just comforting them with beautiful fragrance of love and compassion and light of the diamond that illuminates and opens up their way and their view.
Wouldn't it be amazing if we could just do this and it could happen?
But it's happening for you today,
Continuing to expand that fragrance and light outwards so that it reaches the homes and lives of everyone,
Those that are working,
Those that are at home.
And now let go of the creative game of sending it out and just be aware of that space at your heart center,
Dissolving the visualization completely.
And let's just end with one beautiful deep breath,
Dropping the chin once again,
Breathing in through the nose out through the mouth.
Let's breathe in and slowly exhale.
