Choosing now a comfortable seat,

Sitting in a chair,

Your feet firmly on the ground,

Back nice and straight.

Or if you're sitting on a cushion,

Your legs crossed.

Your hands can be on your knees or in your lap.

And just dropping the chin down slightly.

If you like you can close your eyes,

But if you are feeling sleepy,

Then you can leave them open slightly.

Don't forget to keep a little smile on your face.

Let us come home.

Some people say home is where the heart is.

We can always come home to that,

Come home to our breath.

Let us take in three beautiful immune boosting breaths.

Breathing in through the nose and out through the nose.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Inhale.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Inhale.

And exhale.

Last one,

In through the nose and out through the mouth.

Breathing in.

And release slowly out the mouth.

Settling now on a normal breath,

We just moved from a sympathetic fight or flight mode into a very calm rest,

Digest and heal place.

And from this place we can find our strength.

The breath is this incredible tranquilizer.

We just have this power right at the tip of our nose.

There it is.

Connecting again.

Breathing in.

I know I'm breathing in.

Breathing out.

I know I'm breathing out.

Today I'm going to recite a few affirmations that bring us into our power,

Into that place of strength,

Through loving kindness and compassion.

May I be happy.

May I be happy.

And imagine that you could just breathe it in.

It's in the air.

Breathing in that happiness for yourself.

Let it fill you.

We may feel completely miserable today,

But just imagine we could just breathe in a happier state of mind.

Even if it was 5% happier than we are now.

May I be healthy.

May I be healthy.

Imagine that perfect health or resilience.

You could just breathe it in.

Breathe it in.

It's in the air.

Your body is listening to what you say to it.

So may I be healthy.

Breathe it in.

May I be safe.

May I be safe.

Breathing in that protection.

And just really feel that we are safe.

That it's all going to be okay.

It's going to be fine.

Breathe it in.

May I live with ease.

May I live with ease.

Imagine we could just breathe it in.

Just that ease.

Making sure that our cup is filled.

We now can think of someone who may be challenged at this time.

They may be living with you or away from you.

Just choose one particular person that really sparks that compassion.

Imagine where they are.

And we can say may you be happy.

And imagine you could synchronize your breathing with them.

So you breathe in this happiness for them.

And they do it too.

And it feeds them and gives them happiness.

Whatever that looks like for them.

May you be healthy.

Breathing it in synchronized with them.

Helping them to receive health.

May you be safe.

Just breathing in that safety with them.

And may you live with ease.

Breathing with them.

This life of ease for them.

Whatever that looks like.

Now we can add a few more people.

People in our life that we love.

Our family,

Our friends.

Imagining them all where they are.

And imagine that they are all breathing in happiness and health and safety and easy living.

That we have started something.

Including us.

Extending this not just to family and friends but those that work for you or serve you.

Some of them we may not know all that well.

Think about who these people are.

And we breathe for them as well.

And they also experience happiness,

Health,

Safety and living with ease.

We can imagine the people that we serve.

Whether you know them or not.

Breathing for them to whatever it is that they need.

Extending this to people on the front line.

Putting their lives at risk.

From doctors to nurses to delivery people to retail workers.

Breathing for them today too.

People that are sick and afraid.

Breathing for them too.

And just keep on extending.

People that are helping,

People that are not helping.

Just everyone.

Feeling a sense of equanimity.

Dissolving your visualization.

And just dropping the chin down to the chest.

Let's end this practice with three beautiful breaths.

Breathing in again through the nose and out through the nose.

And again.

And last one,

In through the nose and slowly out the mouth.

Breathing normally.

Lifting your chin and slowly opening your eyes.

Thanks to you today.

Be well friends.

Amazing meditation. I found myself breathing for even the people I don't necessarily get along with and complete strangers. I felt moved by this. Thank you!
