Take a nice breath and let go.
And your body is,
Well it's right there,
It's sitting,
It's at your service,
Supporting your breath and supporting your mind.
And just get a sense of this right now,
Feeling the breath,
Feeling the movement of the body in your posture,
Getting a sense of the space that you occupy and the space around you.
And as you bring all this attention inwards,
Everything settles down,
The breath becomes longer.
And now you're going to make an effort to expel all the breath,
Right the way down to the bottom of your lungs and even from your stomach,
Pushing upwards,
Expelling that last gasp of air so that the in-breath runs deep and long.
And feeling that breath deep,
Feeling yourself.
And now in this mindful state you can see yourself more clearly,
There's no defense,
Very little self-talk,
Much curiosity as you watch breath,
Feel your body,
Know where you are and how you are,
And of course when you are,
You're very much in the present moment.
And that has a lot to do with this sense of space and calm and non-defensiveness.
You have nothing to prove and you have everything to explore.
You remember when you were very small,
Not so small that you didn't think for yourself,
When life was exciting,
Unpredictable in a good way,
It left you hopeful.
The thought and feeling that takes much punishment as we grow older,
But it's located in that sense of being in yourself,
Taking the time,
Breathing deep,
Knowing yourself and finding yourself.
Now taking three more breaths,
Open your eyes.
Since you are very short,
Human contains.
