You are listening to a meditation from Sound Science Soul.
This meditation is a simple guided grounding meditation.
You will want to do it while standing up,
Preferably.
It's useful if you are feeling anxious or if you have that out of body feeling.
It may even help you with vertigo,
Dizziness,
Fatigue,
Or even if you are just feeling unwell.
You'll be tapping into the strength of the tree of life.
The tree of life is an ancient mystical symbol throughout various cultures.
It's usually depicted as a large tree with roots spreading into the ground and branches spreading outward to the sky.
It represents the interconnectedness of all things in the universe,
The bond between the physical realm you are rooted in and the spiritual realm or enlightenment that you are reaching for.
The tree of life reminds you of your connection to the earth and your dependence on it to grow.
The tree of life represents your personal development.
Just as its branches grow stronger and reach higher,
You too grow stronger and strive for more wisdom and experiences throughout life.
The tree of life is strong and sturdy.
It gets all the nutrients it needs from the soil below it.
It gets all the water it needs from the rain.
It gets plenty of sunlight and time in nature to experience the sounds of the birds in the morning as the sun rises,
The sounds of cicadas at dusk and owls after the sun falls.
Its roots are deep and strong.
These are all the things you need to but often don't get because of our busy,
Tech-focused indoor lives.
While connecting to the tree of life in this meditation is no substitute for the real thing,
Connecting into the tree of life can give you strength temporarily.
Like the life cycle of the tree of life,
Our lives see seasons of dark and light,
Death and rebirth.
The tree of life shows us there are always new beginnings after you experience darkness.
Connecting with this symbol not only gives you strength but also hope.
Let's begin.
Stand up with your legs wide open and your arms outstretched,
Preferably over your head in a V shape.
If you are feeling dizzy or unstable,
It's okay to lean your back against a wall and don't push past feeling uncomfortable or unstable.
If you need to stand with your legs straight or your arms down to your side,
That is okay too.
Start by taking in a few deep breaths.
Breathe in 1,
2,
3.
Hold 1,
2,
3.
Breathe out 1,
2,
3.
Breathe in again 1,
2,
3.
Hold 1,
2,
3.
Breathe out 1,
2,
3.
One last time.
Breathe in 1,
2,
3.
Breathe out 1,
2,
3.
Envision the earth below you,
The deep dark color of the soil and see down into the deepest parts of the earth.
While envisioning this,
You may even want to envision your legs reaching down,
Growing down deep into our earth,
Becoming rooted.
As you see your legs growing down into the earth,
You may stabilize yourself more by seeing rocks,
Large boulders in the depth of the earth where you can place your feet and even tie your feet to these boulders,
Offering you strength,
Stability,
Grounding.
But while it's great to connect deeply into the earth and feel that inner strength of the earth's core,
You want to also bring that energy up into the body so you can feel truly centered and grounded.
Notice now the tree of life coming up through the earth and emerging from the soil.
As it does,
Imagine if that tree of life grew up through you,
If you became one with the tree,
Your arms the branches,
Your legs the trunk.
See all the branches and leaves of the tree protruding from your body and your head as though you are one.
Feel the strength of the tree and all it symbolizes.
Know you are not just body,
But a spiritual being reaching up,
Connecting to your highest self while still feeling connected to the earth.
Feeling in this position,
Feeling the strength,
Feeling the interconnectedness of all that exist,
Plant,
Matter,
Animal and human.
Begin here as long as needed in order to feel stronger and stronger,
More and more grounded.
You are strong and centered.
You are one with all.
Your harmony and love created as so.
