Health anxiety is when you become obsessively worried about your health and you may feel the need to constantly check for signs that there is something physically wrong with you. This can result in real physical symptoms. This breathing technique and these affirmations can calm your anxiety so you can surrender and the symptoms can subside. You are listening to a meditation from Sound Science Soul.

In this meditation we are using the power of affirmations to calm your health anxiety.

Health anxiety is when you become obsessively worried about your health and you may feel the need to constantly check for signs that there is something physically wrong with you.

Symptoms of anxiety produce very real physical symptoms.

Dizziness,

Digestion issues,

Stomach pain,

Chest pain,

Chest pressure,

Palpitations,

Rapid heartbeat,

Muscle tension,

And the list goes on and on.

These symptoms only add fuel to the fire.

It may even cause you to spend hours researching your symptoms.

But if you can get the anxiety to subside and calm your worry over your health,

It may help you to make the symptoms subside.

While listening to these affirmations,

Do this simple breath exercise to help engage your vagus nerve and your parasympathetic nervous system to start to bring you into a calmer state.

Place one hand on your heart and one hand on your abdomen.

Touch releases oxytocin and gives your body a sense of security,

Soothing difficult emotions,

And even has health benefits such as calming the cardiovascular system.

It tells your body,

I'm here,

You are safe.

With your hands in this position,

You breathe in through the nose as deep as you like.

Hold as long as you like.

But the real trick here is breathing out steadily and slowly for much longer than the inhale or the hold.

This is what activates the parasympathetic nervous system to put your body into a state of calm.

Continue with the breath,

Breathing in through the nose,

Holding briefly,

And slowly breathing out through the mouth while you listen to these affirmations.

While not all of these affirmations may resonate with you,

Many of them will.

Take what you need and your mind can ignore what you don't need.

You are safe and well.

It is safe for you to let go of any emotions you are holding onto.

Your body has an amazing ability to heal itself.

You are strong and healthy.

You do not need anyone to reassure you,

You can feel safe on your own.

You surrender to the physical symptoms you are feeling.

Healing is your natural state.

As you love yourself more,

You trust your body more and more,

Feeling safer and safer.

You focus your attention to things that matter,

The life you desire,

Instead of allowing yourself to be alone.

You are not afraid of fear,

Instead of allowing fear and physical symptoms to distract and deter you.

You don't listen to your fear,

You embrace change,

You don't need to control anything.

Healing comes to you easily.

You embrace life without questioning and analyzing every feeling you experience as a sign that something is seriously wrong.

You are strong and limitless.

As you surrender,

Life becomes easier and your concerning symptoms subside.

You have the ability to deal with anything.

You embrace the excitement of life and look for the good instead of waiting for something bad to happen.

You are safe in your body,

You are no longer a victim.

The universe or your higher power always looking out for you and your greatest good.

You trust in the universe or your higher power.

You trust in your body's power to heal itself.

You recover quickly from illness.

You feel at ease.

You feel at peace,

Riding the waves of life,

Surrendering.

You take the space to breathe and allow emotions and feelings to move through.

You become more observant and aware,

Asking your body what it needs.

You release worries that you have no control over.

You release any tension in your body.

You are healthy and well.

Your anxiety lessens.

It's not dangerous,

It's just a reaction in your body.

Take in these words and allow them to become how you feel today.

And every day that you need these words.

You are whole,

You are loved,

You are strong,

You are worthy.

You are worthy of feeling well and working through your worry and concern.

Exactly what I needed to calm my parasympathetic Nervous system, which has been in overdrive due to some gut issues.
