Today you will embark on a profound journey of non-sleep deep rest,

Also known as NSDR.

This meditation isn't just about calming the body.

It delves deeper,

Offering holistic rejuvenation of both body and mind,

All while maintaining your awareness.

As we venture into this deep state of relaxation,

You'll hear brainwave entrainment music playing gently in the background.

Brainwave entrainment is a method of guiding the brain into a desired state using rhythms and frequencies.

Today it will assist you in tapping into profound levels of rest,

Facilitating a more profound connection to your inner self.

So make sure you're comfortable.

Arrange pillows or cushions or blankets as you see fit.

Wear a blackout eye mask for a deeper experience to block out light and distractions.

And as you settle in,

Arrange your body to make any tiny adjustments to ensure you're perfectly poised for this experience.

And now let's dive in.

Begin with your breath.

Take a slow,

Intentional inhale,

Savoring the life-giving oxygen as it fills your lung.

Then pause at the peak,

Embracing the stillness.

And then exhale,

Allowing any lingering tension to disappear.

Continue this pattern of breathing a few more times,

Setting the rhythm for our journey.

Now imagine the softest,

Warmest touch gracing your scalp.

This gentle energy spreads,

Releasing any tightness from your forehead,

Smoothing out the furrows between your brows.

It dances over your eyelids,

Ensuring they rest peacefully.

Your cheeks,

Nose,

Lips,

Warmth flows downward,

Lingering at your neck and throat.

Feel the muscles stretching,

Any knots or tension simply melting away.

Your shoulders,

Often burdened with daily worries,

The serenity cascades down your arms,

Reaching every finger,

Reminding them of their inherent grace and strength.

As your chest rises and falls,

Feel it embraced by the gentle warmth spreading across your ribs and sternum.

Your heart beating steadily,

Pulses in harmony with the music.

And behind you,

Each vertebrae in your spine aligns,

From the nape of your neck to the base of your spine.

This gentle energy now moves to your pelvis and your hips,

Grounding them,

Connecting them deeply to the surface below.

Let go of any residual tightness and feel this relaxation flow down your legs,

Wrapping around your knees and your calves and your ankles.

Lastly,

This energy reaches your feet,

Your pillars of support.

They are bathed in the warm energy,

Each toe feeling the caress,

Reminding them of their journey and their strength.

With every part of your body now embraced by relaxation,

You're in a deep,

Restful state.

Stay here,

Floating in this vast ocean of tranquility,

While the music guides your brain into deepening levels of relaxation.

The world outside continues its dance,

But you,

Right here,

Right now,

Are in a sanctuary of peace,

Wrapped in stillness.

However,

Like all journeys,

It's time to gently make our way back.

Begin by bringing awareness to the tips of your toes and your fingers.

Stretch them ever so slightly.

Feel your wrists and your ankles stretching and waking the muscles gently.

Gradually deepen your breath.

With every inhale,

Bring more vitality.

With every exhale,

Release any remaining stress.

When ready and at your own pace,

Gently open your eyes,

Letting the room and your surroundings fill your vision.

Transition back into the world,

Carrying the profound peace from this session.

Remember,

Masterful. In the moment in which I did this meditation, my body wasn't able to accept the quality or quantity of energy coming through. I almost had to shut it off early. To me, this speaks to the power of this track. I'll definitely try again.
