We have a very cool adventure planned for you.
So let's begin by getting settled and doing a relaxation exercise.
Ideally,
You want to be lying on your back with some support underneath your knees and neck.
But guided meditation also works just fine if you're in a supportive chair.
So wherever you are,
Close your eyes,
Get comfortable,
And take a few deep cleansing breaths.
I'd like you to pay attention to the sound of the music.
I'd like you to picture a warm golden ball of energy hovering just above the top of your scalp.
Let this benevolent sphere enter at the crown of your head and spread into your head and neck.
It's warmth working like a massage for your mind.
Feel your thoughts quieting,
Your jaw and neck muscles softening.
The softly vibrating energy widens a bit and seeps into your shoulders and back.
All the tension in those muscles dissipates as this healing energy radiates through the upper part of your body.
Any tightness you've been holding onto is melting away.
You feel it gently envelop your chest and lungs and your breath moves like a wheel,
Calm and steady.
Now the golden light flows into your lower extremities.
Joints and muscles loosen.
The warmth penetrates.
It's relaxing effect combines with the natural force of gravity and you feel yourself sinking deeper into your cushions,
Deeper into your body.
As this sphere glides down your legs and out through your toes,
You are left deeply relaxed and peaceful,
Ready for the next part of your journey.
We'll be taking your spirit on a winter trip,
But the warmth and peace you're now feeling will stay with you during the entire meditation.
And though we're heading into a new experience,
You'll be safe,
Always tethered to your body through your breath.
You're walking along a snow-covered path surrounded by tall evergreens in mountain fresh air.
A bright blue sky and strong sun blaze overhead.
Take a deep breath and let the cool,
Clean air fill your lungs.
You pick up the scent of pine and hear a hawk call its mate.
The snow crunches underfoot as you walk along.
There's a pair of skates slung over your shoulder and up ahead you catch a glimpse of a large frozen lake.
I'll let you walk and enjoy the view.

The lake shimmers like a gem in the sun.
Its mirror-like surface is frozen solid and wavy reflections of clouds and trees dance across the ice.
There's a mossy log for you to sit on and lace up your skates.
The soft,
Supple leather easily slips onto your feet and over your ankles.
The skates are a perfect fit.
Walking to the lake's edge is easier than you expected and you're filled with anticipation.
Looking down,
You see bubbles and leaves caught in time.
There's an inkling of nervousness but then suddenly a wellspring of confidence rises and you step out onto the ice.
After just a few seconds of finding your balance,
You push off toward the glassy interior.
The surface is silky smooth and your blades move across the ice like a hot knife through butter.
With every push and glide,
You're gaining momentum and relaxing into a gentle rhythm that keeps time with the wind.
Now you're leaning into turns,
Right foot crossing left foot crossing right foot.
Your body is strong and capable and your feet know exactly how to propel you forward.
The trees along the bank are a blurred collage of green and brown as you sail down the lake.
A small spray of ice kicks out from your blades as you traverse the curve of the far bank with the freedom you haven't felt since childhood.
Hugging your arms close to your chest,
You bring your back foot around and attempt a gentle spin.
It works.
Feeling ever more confident,
You push into another twirl.
Tilt back your head and let your limbs bend into a graceful arabesque.
The sun flickers through the pine boughs like an old fashioned movie and you lose the boundaries between you,
The ice and the sky.
Twirl,
Glide,
Breathe.
Let yourself melt into this winter wonderland.

Go ahead and skate towards it The little log cabin comes into clear view and you're drawn to its inviting quaintness The sweet smoky scent of a cherry wood fire drifts by As you climb onto the bank,
There's a weathered wooden bench with a pair of comfy slippers on it You remove your skates and wiggle your toes into sheerly lined moccasins The sun is setting now,
But behind you in the front window of the little house a golden lamp beckons The front door is painted a faded barn red and you pull a wrought iron handle to step inside A rush of heat greets you,
Warming your chilly nose and fingers There's a crackling fire burning in the large stone hearth on the far side of the room No one else is here,
But somehow you know this simple lovely space has been prepared for you There's a pot of delicious smelling soup simmering on the small antique stove but you're overcome with the need to lie down and rest Glancing around the room,
You see an old fashioned spindle bed piled high with quilted comforters You flop onto the bed,
Wriggle under three of the blankets,
Letting your head sink into a feathery soft pillow Every muscle in your body softens and you slip into a deep state of blissful relaxation Rest here for a bit The sun is setting now,
But behind you in the front window of the little house a golden lamp beckons The light is on,
The sun is setting,

Begin wiggling your hands and feet and come back into your body You're returning to reality,
