Welcome to Wellness for Life.
My name is Melanie.
I am a wellness and life coach certified in NLP,
It's a Bonam approach.
I will be your guide and companion during this meditation.
Today's meditation is building your inner land.
This guided meditation is for helping you build healthy and purposeful boundaries.
When you start to create healthy boundaries for yourself,
Things that may have hurt you,
Upset you,
Or even brought on frustration in the past will no longer have the same power that reaches you in the same way here today.
Setting boundaries gives clear expectations to others and for yourself.
They are healthy and offer something even greater to yourself and your surroundings,
Such as family members,
Friends,
And even your community.
So let's begin.
Let's take a moment to relax your body,
Your mind,
And connect with your soul.
Let's take a moment to focus on your breath by taking five deep breaths.
Breathe in through the nose and out the nose.
Now,
With me,
To oxygenate your body from the tip of your toes to the top of your head.
And as you breathe in and out,
Imagine this beautiful color swirling throughout your body.
This color is filled with energy.
And you need at this moment.
This energy may be calm,
Energized,
Happy,
Joyful.
You choose.
As you feel the weight of your body and how it presses down,
You will feel the weight of your body and how it presses down.
Make sure that your spine is straight and your posture exudes confidence.
Yet you are relaxed and comfortable.
Gently close your eyes as you increase your ability to focus.
And I invite you to focus on some of the details of this meditation,
Not only by what you will see in your mind,
But possibly here,
And feel as I walk you through this meditation.
As you breathe easily and gently,
Feel safe and relaxed.
My voice guiding you is like a beacon of light through the darkness or a path that is new to you,
Bringing you closer to the light of day,
To this place that is yours to be.
As the sun rises,
You see you are standing in a beautiful,
Lush green grass filled with flowers.
And there's a small house that you've built by hand in the middle of it.
This house,
The surrounding area,
Represents you and all the work that you put into yourself.
The grass and the flowers represent the world outside of you.
And the flowers represent the world outside of you.
And the flowers represent the world outside of you.
You decide that it would be good to plant some trees and some shrubs around your home and all around your land.
You know that building,
Planting these plants will aid in protecting you,
And they also benefit the world.
For example,
A raspberry bush is very spiky and dense,
Yet it gives you a bounty of fruits for you to enjoy and be nourished by.
If you plant many of these raspberry bushes in your garden,
You will be able to grow them.
And you will be able to grow them in your garden.
If you plant many of these raspberry bushes in a row,
They will protect you like a tall fence,
But they also give nourishment.
It serves two purposes.
Creating personal boundaries,
Such as saying no to an invitation so you may rest and spend time with your kids,
Or maybe rest and save on some money is an example amongst many that serves two purposes.
And so let your imagination go to what your heart really desires as boundaries.
And so when you plant tall trees,
It will protect you from harsh winds if placed in a way that is good throughout all of the seasons.
Tall trees supply us with the most oxygen,
Therefore they are giving while also protecting.
The trees also serve many purposes here.
You look at these beautiful life forces that you are planting on your land,
And you notice they need a lot of help.
You look at these beautiful land,
And you notice they need a water source.
And you have it to find the lowest lying area on your land and begin digging down and around,
Making the shape of a small pond.
As you step back from the circle of dirt you've created,
You know that only a few heavy rainfalls need to pour down,
And it will begin to fill and turn into a natural source of water.
This pond serves many purposes on your land.
It not only provides you in the wildlife with water,
But it also gives you somewhere to go to meditate and reflect on the good things in your life and the good things that you do for others.
Closer to your house,
You see you need some vegetables,
And you create a garden that is easy for you to access,
Care for,
And water when necessary.
You plant a tree in the garden,
And you see that you are growing.
You plant all kinds of vegetables you need.
Your garden flourishes and provides.
And all this garden needs from you is to be tended to,
To be loved and cared for.
You look around and you see you need an orchard.
So you strategically plant many apple trees and other fruiting trees right next to the garden.
You plant a tree in the garden,
And you see you plant a few fruiting trees right next to the protected area by the big tall trees and a little closer to the pond so that they can drink.
This orchard supplies you with the most delicious apples you've ever tasted and their nutrients.
Wow!
You look around your plot of land,
And you're proud.
Not only do all these plants protect you and your home,
But they give to you and the community around.
And so you make sure you work on the garden within you and put up proper barriers that,
If planted well,
And with love and care,
They also give.
You're protected and allowed to lead a happy life.
And lastly,
Look again at your hand-built home and make any necessary changes to it at any time,
As you grow,
As you gain experience,
As you just feel at some point change is necessary and know that all will be okay,
As you're an excellent builder.
And so I invite you to slowly open your eyes and smile.
And I would also suggest writing out in a journal with different columns that represent your boundaries.
These columns can indicate some of the boundaries you want to create,
Some you wish you could create,
And some that you have already started implementing.
Write out how you feel about them,
What emotion rises up when you start thinking about these boundaries.
Do they make you feel uneasy?
Do they make you excited to know that boundaries are okay and you're ready to do so?
Write out their intentions,
And if it needs a positive intention,
How can you create that positive intention or that boundary?
Write out the purpose and what it will bring to your future.
And write out why it's important to you to create these boundaries.
And I invite you to ask yourself that question three times.
Why is it important to create boundaries?
You are the creator of your own boundaries,
So I invite you to make them healthy for you.
And I thank you for your presence during this meditation.
I would love to hear more about some of your reflections during this practice in the comments or by emailing me.
Namaste.
