Hello,
My name is Melanie Kiss and welcome to this session of guided meditation.
Let us set the intention today to focus our attention on reconnecting with ourselves so that we may approach the rest of the day with a renewed sense of energy,
Focus,
And of self.
You could sit with this guided meditation whenever you feel like you need a little boost,
But listening to this early morning after you wake up is going to feel more effective simply because when we wake up our subconscious mind is more open to accepting ideas and energies.
Taking your time out during this part of the day to reconnect with ourselves can be very helpful in maintaining that connection throughout the day.
And so I welcome you right now to adjust yourself into a position that feels comfortable.
Gently stretch out any tension that you may hold in your spine.
Relax your shoulders and the back of your neck and breathe in a deep full breath into your chest and in your lungs.
And as you breathe out,
Feel your belly contract slowly.
As you take in the next breath,
Close your eyes if you're not already doing so and breathe out again.
Now we're going to continue this pace of breath for some time where we breathe in for three,
Hold the breath for three and breathe out again for three.
Breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Hold for one,
Two,
Three and breathe out for one,
Two,
Three.
Breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Hold for one,
Two,
Three and breathe out for one,
Two,
Three.
Let us simply sit with this pace of breath for a while,
Drawing our attention to this most basic yet powerful act of being that we are so attuned to.
We tend to forget to pay attention to these seemingly little things that our mind and body perform together in perfect harmony to keep us alive and to help us experience life in such grand ways.
Now that you feel a bit more grounded in this present moment in your body,
In your breath,
Gradually allow yourself to settle into a rhythm of breathing that feels most natural to you.
We will slowly shift our attention to our surroundings now.
Maybe it's the soft breeze through the window or the ticking of the clock.
Whatever it is that your senses might be picking up on,
Make note of it,
Observe it,
Feel it for a little while and let it go.
If you observe your thoughts wandering,
That is completely okay.
Just bring your kind attention back to the sensations surrounding you.
You might feel your perceptions heightened,
A sense of comfort knowing that what is going on around you.
Within this feeling lies the most fundamental feeling of all,
A sense of comfort knowing that what is going on inside you is clear to you as well.
Carry this knowledge with you.
Within this certainty and breathe out all self-doubt.
You are in complete understanding of your emotions,
Ideas,
Visions,
And your potential.
Within you flows the creative energy of the universe.
Within you is everything that you could ever want.
You're perfect and you are an infinite source of beauty and creativity.
You create your own destiny.
You choose your own reactions.
You let go of whatever does not serve you anymore.
Your surroundings may influence your energy,
But you have the power to shape your own experiences,
To take a step back and choose how you want to respond to your surroundings.
And today you choose to feel calm and certain.
You choose to acknowledge your own desires and ambitions.
You choose to step out in confidence and interact with poise.
You choose to respect your own boundaries and that of others.
Believe in your intuition and imagination.
You choose to be secured.
Whatever you choose,
You are it.
Now let us take another deep breath in and exhale out.
Whatever you feel ready,
Open your eyes to the rest of the day and thank you for taking this journey with me.
