Thank you for joining me in this meditation.
I am here to help you ground into the present moment.
Settling into your space as you prepare your body for a few moments of stillness.
Choosing a comfortable seat with a straight yet relaxed spine.
Making any little adjustments that will allow for your deepest comfort.
As you move through life,
It is natural to reflect back on the past and look forward to everything you wish to accomplish.
This mental time travel can be exciting and rewarding and it also can be exhausting and confusing.
When you find your mind everywhere but right here,
Right now,
You can ground yourself into the present moment.
This will ease anxiety and provide insight and clarity.
Remember,
The past is gone and the future is not yet here.
With this new found power,
You will find peace in all of your plans and intentions.
Noticing as your breath shadows air into your lungs,
Simply noticing not changing.
Noticing where you feel the sensation of your breath.
Is it in your nose?
On your lips?
In your chest?
In your belly?
Simply noticing the sensations of your body.
Allowing it to simply be.
I invite you to join your top eyelid with the bottom,
Letting the external world disappear as you tune your attention inwards.
Gently,
With love,
Deepening your breath,
Allowing it to expand your chest,
Collarbone,
Ribcage,
Abdomen.
As you exhale,
Letting your breath take all the tension away.
Inhaling loving and positive energy.
Feeling it fill your pelvis,
Belly,
Chest,
Side ribs.
Effortlessly letting it go.
Letting it all go.
Releasing any thoughts that pop up.
Just let them float on by.
Releasing the tongue from the roof of your mouth.
Releasing worry from your forehead.
Releasing control from your hands.
Letting them gently fall open like a blossoming flower.
Releasing fear from your belly,
Knowing that you are perfectly safe in this very moment.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You are loved.
You are here.
Following your breath as it pours into your belly,
Bringing new life to yourselves,
Allowing your exhale to remove all that does not serve you.
It is perfectly natural for thoughts to intrude upon this peaceful oasis you have created for yourself.
Letting them float on by like a cloud in the sky.
Those thoughts will still be there when you return from your meditation.
But for right now,
Find peace in the non-attachment.
Imagining that your strong tall spine is actually the trunk of a beautiful redwood tree.
Strong,
Sturdy,
Unwavering,
Effortlessly maintaining alignment in your body.
Feeling the strength in the core of your being,
Allowing your presence to ground you into this very moment.
Drawing upwards from the crown of your head,
Feeling taller as branches pull you higher to the sky.
While remaining perfectly still,
Noticing your energetic body reaching higher and higher,
Stretching upwards and outwards,
Opening yourself to the nourishment of the sun,
Allowing the warmth of the sun to caress your skin,
Feeling it nourish you,
Filling you with amazing energy.
This beautiful energy will supply your body with all that it needs to fulfill your dreams,
Soaking in the amazing beauty of this moment.
Following this beautiful light of the sun as it pours downwards throughout your entire body,
Down the trunk of your energetic tree,
Feeling it energize and invigorate your body as it kisses your face,
Passing down,
Down into your roots that are digging deeply into the ground beneath you.
These roots are what hold you so strongly into this present moment.
These roots maintain your strong presence as the winds of life attempt to push you around,
Taking the next few moments to inhale the incredible energy of the sun,
Feeling it flow through the crown of your head,
Pouring through your body,
Down into your roots that hold you right here,
Right now.
Allowing yourself to be fully present with your body.
Feeling the power and beauty of being right here,
Right now.
That's it.
You are so incredibly,
Beautifully present.
Inhaling deeply,
Feeling new oxygen spread into every cell in your body,
Exhaling the old you,
Inhaling this deeply present version of you.
Keeping your eyes closed for this moment.
Turning to the external world by first wiggling your toes,
Your fingers,
Bringing gentle,
Loving movement to your shoulders and wrists,
Maybe even allowing for a slow circling of your neck,
Feeling into the newly nourished corners of your body,
Noticing the heaviness of your eyelids,
How happy they are to remain in perfect harmony together.
Fluttering your eyes open,
Drinking in your surroundings with newfound presence,
You are exactly where you need to be,
Right here,
Right now.
With this powerful present moment awareness,
You have the strongest ability to make decisions with clarity.
Remaining perfectly present allows you to forget the regrets of the past and let go of what you imagine the future might hold.
