This grounding meditation will return your awareness to the present moment while connecting to your higher self. Grounding into the present moment allows for clarity, increased focus, and provides a sense of peace. This technique is short and accessible in any moment, allowing you to recenter at any point throughout your day.

Welcome to this short grounding meditation.

Grounding yourself into the present moment is essential to calming the monkey chatter of your mind,

To hear your true self,

Your soul speaking through.

Grounding is especially useful in those moments that you feel out of control of your thoughts as they take you down a road of negativity and fear.

Grounding into the present moment will create space between you and these thoughts,

Allowing peace to return to your body.

Begin by sitting on the floor,

On a cushion,

Or on a chair,

Allowing your eyelids to gently close,

Noticing how you are feeling in this moment.

Breathing slowly through your nose,

Inhaling,

Allowing this new oxygen to permeate every cell in your body,

Holding for a moment at the top and letting it all go through your mouth.

Allowing your breath to return you to the present moment,

Whatever thoughts that are demanding your attention can wait until after this meditation.

This is your time to return presence to your body.

Following your breath as it enters your nose,

Flowing into your lungs,

Expanding your belly,

Then releasing it all through the mouth.

Inhaling,

Expanding,

Exhaling,

Releasing.

Finding a string that runs from your tailbone,

Along your spine,

And up through the top of your head is gently pulling upwards,

Allowing your spine to be a straight column,

Bringing your whole body into alignment.

Feeling your seat bones grounding you into the surface below you,

Applying light pressure through these contact points with the ground as this string continues to pull the crown of your head gently upwards.

Breathing in fresh oxygen through this inner channel of light along the back of your body,

Exhaling all that does not serve you through the mouth.

Visualizing a beautiful pillar of golden white light pouring in through the crown of your head,

Slowly trickling down the back of your neck,

Flowing through your spinal column until it exits through your tailbone into the ground beneath you.

Noticing how this amazing golden light softens your body while holding you in perfect alignment.

This channel to your higher self,

To your soul,

To your true self.

This version of you is always here to support you,

To guide you,

To love you.

You can tune into the frequency of your highest self at any time by opening your inner channel to receive.

Sitting in perfect silence as your highest self communicates you through this channel of light.

You can tune into the frequency of your highest self by opening your inner channel to receive.

Expressing your deepest gratitude for this wisdom as the time comes to close this channel.

You can return to this place at any time,

Even if it's for a few seconds.

Breathing deeper into the belly,

Letting go of all that does not serve you.

Slowly returning movement to your body by wiggling your fingers,

Toes,

Stretching your wrists,

And gently shrugging your shoulders.

When you feel ready to do so,

Opening your eyes with a newfound outlook.

Understanding how your feeling state has altered from the beginning of this meditation.

I welcome you to practice this technique whenever you notice yourself attaching to the hectic chatter of your mind.

It is perfectly normal to have many thoughts throughout your day,

Many of them irrelevant or non-serving.

However,

It is your choice to attach to them or watch them float by.
