Hello and welcome to this quick and easy breathwork meditation that you can use at any time when you notice yourself wanting to binge or emotionally eat.
The thing about emotionally eating is it's not about the food.
You've probably learned to use food as a drug as a means to cope with your emotions,
But you are never taught the right tools.
As you'll discover on this journey,
You have the wisdom within you to tune into what you truly need.
And that isn't another scoop of ice cream.
You need to feel your emotions so you don't feed your emotions.
As I guide you through this breathwork meditation,
You may start to experience intense emotions.
For the next five minutes,
I need you to be brave.
Trust me,
No emotion can hurt you.
In fact,
They're actually here to teach you.
As stagnant energy is circulating through your system,
Energy that you are breaking free with the power of your breath,
You can release it by shaking your hands,
Arms,
Legs,
And feet.
You can tone,
Which is making an ooh sound at different intensities that will move the energy.
You can yell,
You can cry,
You can punch a pillow,
Anything that will help you move the energy.
No emotion is unacceptable to express.
I will be guiding you through a tri-active breath,
Which is simply inhaling through the mouth into the belly,
The chest,
And then exhaling it all through the mouth.
No pausing at the top or the bottom of the breath.
So you can imagine yourself breathing in a circular manner.
With a continual breath,
With a mantra that will keep you grounded into the present moment.
This mantra is,
I am safe.
I am supported.
I am loved.
I'd like you to just take a moment to feel that mantra into your being and let it resonate and let it settle.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You are loved.
Let's begin.
Inhaling into your belly,
Your chest,
And letting it all go through the mouth.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You are loved.
That's it.
You're doing amazing.
You're doing amazing.
You're doing amazing.
Inhaling through the belly,
The chest,
And let it all go.
Try making a sound with your exhale.
That's how you're feeling.
You're doing amazing.
Facing the breath pattern and allowing your body to breathe itself.
Sitting with this new sensation in your body.
You are safe.
You are supported.
You are loved.
There's nowhere to be.
There's nothing to do.
Simply being here with yourself,
Noticing the rise and fall of your chest as your body really breathes itself.
You are safe.
I am so proud of you for bravely completing this breathwork meditation.
Return to this audio or practice on your own at any time that you start to feel your emotions get too intense and you feel yourself thinking about food to numb it out.
There's nothing inherently wrong with using this habit,
But if you feel it's time to release this habit,
Breathwork can guide you through.
Keep up the momentum by continuing to show up for yourself in tiny ways every day.
Thank you for listening.
I love you.
I see you.
I am here for you.
Blessings on your journey.
