So what is awareness?

Awareness is not the mind.

Awareness is that which is aware of the mind.

Something sees the mind.

It's the witnessing.

Witnessing awareness,

Witnessing consciousness.

It's been in the background your whole life and before this life.

So come on over to that which sees thought.

Just being aware.

It's the easiest thing in the world since you're already aware.

So we're just being aware of awareness itself.

Very,

Very simple.

And all we're really doing in this process is increasing our awareness.

Awareness of all that's here that we tend to miss because we become captivated by thought.

Which is totally fine.

Thought is welcome here.

We don't need to monitor thought or stop thought or change our thoughts.

Nothing like that.

We're just increasing our awareness.

Awareness itself,

That which sees thought,

That which is looking,

Has a relaxed and effortless quality to it.

Notice that.

Sink into that.

There's nothing to do now,

But relax and lean back all the way into the seat of awareness.

It's okay if the mind is busy.

It doesn't matter at all.

We're going to start to feel the body,

Which is helpful.

It grounds the awareness and there's so much richness in this body,

So much intelligence,

So much to attend to.

That's where all the healing happens,

By bringing awareness into the body.

So today let's start with the feet.

We have these beautiful sounds to help you feel your body.

See if you can feel the sounds inside your own feet or just feel the feet.

You can feel the bottoms of the feet,

The arches,

The pads of the feet,

The toes and in between the toes.

And you might notice that the music reverberates there.

It vibrates with the aliveness of your body.

Your body is all just energy and space and light,

So it vibrates.

It's alive.

See if you can feel the aliveness in the bones of your feet and sides of the feet and inside the heels and you could visualize or feel the bottoms of your feet opening.

Here's the reality.

They're already open.

You're already this vast tree with roots of vibrant energy,

Deeply rooted in the earth,

Totally and completely connected.

And you can actually feel that.

Awareness can go there.

Awareness can feel two feet under your feet,

It can feel 10 feet,

20 feet down.

See if you can put awareness down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Down,

Like tree roots into the rock layer,

Through the soil,

Down,

Down into the heat of the earth.

Let your roots be planted firmly on earth.

You already are,

But it's so nice to be aware of it.

And all those vibrant roots coming through your feet are alive and vibrating with the sound.

So savor the rootedness of your being,

The absolute connected body that you have here.

Good.

And then we can feel into the ankles of the feet,

How that connects with the roots below your feet.

These energetic roots come up through the ankles and into the lower legs.

You could feel the skin of your legs,

The muscles and the bones even.

Not with thought.

You're going to have to just feel it,

Bringing awareness,

Feel the bones of your legs.

And then those big shin bones come up to the knees.

Can you feel that the knees are vibrating with the sound?

They're so alive,

Intricate,

Restructuring of bones and connective tissue,

All of it,

Mostly space,

Just energy,

The mystery of energy in form,

The mystery of you,

This plain old awareness,

Able to heal your body by simply being aware of it,

Aware of the interior spaces,

Feeling all through your knee and letting your knees be nice and soft and open.

This body is utterly safe.

The more you relax it,

The more you inhabit it,

You won't be hurt,

You won't be lost if you let this body just soften and soften and soften.

See if you can feel that music vibrating through your thighs,

Waking up the bones of the thighs,

The flesh of the thighs,

Along the sides of the thighs and exterior and then in the inner thigh,

The bones that connect to the hip joints,

Let the sounds reverberate through your pelvis and soften it like a massage.

Maybe you feel some warmth from the seat,

All through your hips and through your sit bones and your tailbone.

What is it to let that warmth just soak through your whole pelvis,

Letting the sound soften all the connective tissue,

All the middle of the pelvis,

The pubic bone,

The hips,

Letting everything sink into the chair,

Feeling like you've really taken your seat inside your own pelvis and that it's a soft,

Soft,

Supple chair you can just sink into.

Let the sounds be a massage,

Let them soothe all through pelvis and into the lower back now.

All of our intestines in the lower belly,

The lower back and down into the pelvis,

Let it sink and soften,

You don't have to hold it in.

As Kieran likes to say,

If this was the last moment of your life,

How would that be?

Can you feel the release of that?

Letting yourself just be,

No more doing,

No more agenda,

No more plans,

Showing all the way up,

Showing all the way up inside your own pelvis and belly.

Let's feel up into the mid-belly now,

Feel the whole belly,

Feel sound reverberate through your stomach,

Softening the organs,

Softening the mid-back,

Let your belly be filled with soothing sound and with your own awareness.

This beautiful,

Soft belly,

It gets to release,

It gets to just be,

No management anymore.

Let's move up to the solar plexus,

Same thing here,

Right under the ribcage,

What would it be to bring awareness to the very center of the solar plexus,

Toward the spine,

To just put awareness there,

To let the music penetrate there,

It's a healing and an unwinding potential sensation here,

By simply being aware,

Maybe you can feel the spine in the back of the solar plexus,

Right under the ribs,

And let's just feel that whole 360 degrees around the solar plexus,

Just opening and softening,

Let that sound come all the way in,

It's meant to soothe,

To touch,

Good,

And then let's come up to the ribcage,

Let the sounds just soak into the ribcage,

All that beautiful connective tissue in between the ribs,

It's vibrating with the sound,

Let the whole ribcage become supple and soften,

Including the sternum,

We tend to protect the heart quite a bit there,

What would it be to just let it melt,

That front of the chest,

Right behind the sternum,

To let the sound soak into the center of the heart,

We all have walls here,

Pain here,

That pain are just the untouched bits,

Hurt little ones looking to be held,

Touched by awareness,

Touched by sound,

Such a simple thing,

To just feel the lungs,

Feel the heart,

Feel into the very middle of the chest,

See if you can feel the sounds shaking through,

Massaging and opening,

So that the whole chest starts to turn to air,

Just vibrating energy,

Can you feel the whole chest vibrating up through the collarbones and the shoulder blades,

And the tops of the shoulders,

And into the shoulder joints,

Just feel how alive,

Open,

Delicious it is to be inside your own body,

The mind might tell a different story about sensation,

But in this moment,

Let's not listen to it,

Let's find out for ourself,

What is it,

To feel your shoulder blades,

To feel the whole interior of your chest now,

And if there's a place that's quite dense or grippy or painful,

What if you could let it be touched and soothed by the sound,

So let's feel through the whole shoulder joints now,

And down into the upper arms,

Everything vibrating,

Everything alive,

Alive and well,

No story now,

Just the sensation of the elbows now,

The crease of the elbows,

The lower arms,

The alive wrists,

All those intricate bones,

And the vibrating hands,

The palms,

And in between the fingers,

The fingertips,

Let's feel the whole chest,

The shoulders,

And the arms now,

Down into the hands all at once,

Let yourself be so relaxed,

You're just receiving a massage,

Nothing at all to do,

Nothing to concentrate on,

Nothing,

And then there's all this beautiful sensation of the neck,

Don't miss it,

Just feel it,

Even if it's tense and blocked,

Welcome that,

Feel that,

It gets to be exactly as it is,

There's zero problem with it,

This body,

No matter the sensation is not a problem,

It's a solution,

It's a welcome mat,

It's where we land,

We land in the body,

Inhabit,

Let's feel the whole spine inside your neck,

How it's vibrating and alive with the sound,

Feel the right side of your neck and the left side of your neck and your throat,

Just feeling it,

Just putting awareness there,

Expands it,

Opens it,

You're simply aware of what's already here,

It might be as we come up high in the neck,

A kind of a knot at the top of your neck and the bottom of your brain,

That brain stem area in the back,

Where the brain and the head meets the neck,

It can all be a bit blocked here,

Let's let the sounds just soak through,

Let the sounds soak through the back of the head entirely,

Skull and the brain itself,

Like you're getting a massage in the back of your neck,

In the back of your head,

Just feeling it,

Just aware,

Aware of how sound feels back there,

Beautiful,

Let's see how sound feels at the top of the head,

Top of the head,

Nice and open,

There's nothing you can concentrate on,

Nothing you can do,

It's already open and the more aware you are,

The more the body opens,

Just aware,

Just aware of the sensation,

What does it feel like at the top of the head,

With no name,

No words,

No identities,

Just sensation,

See if you can feel the sound coming from the top of the head down into the middle of the head,

Deep behind the eyes and in between the ears,

The center of the head is a magical place,

All we need to do is feel it,

Good,

Feel the forehead now,

Feel the music penetrating the forehead,

Between the eyebrows and all across the forehead,

Brain in the front of the head,

Feel your temples and the bones of the skull there,

Feel your eyes and your eye sockets,

Your actual eyeballs,

The fibers of the eyes,

They go from the back of the eye all the way to the back of the head,

See if it feels good to just feel that,

To feel the extent of your eyes through the back of your head,

And let them just soften and soften and soften,

Whole eyes just liquefy,

In between the eyes and the eyebrows,

Bridge of the nose and the tip of the nose,

Just feel underneath your eyes,

Into your sinuses,

The back of your nose,

If you can feel the sound on the roof of the mouth,

Back of the throat,

Let the teeth soften,

The lips soften,

Feel the sound in the hinge of your jaw,

Bones of your chin,

The flesh underneath the chin,

All vibrating with sound,

The whole head vibrating with sound,

The whole neck vibrating with sound,

The back of the neck,

The back of the head,

All the way to the front and the top,

The chest,

Back of the chest,

The front of the chest,

The arms and the hands,

Vibrating with sound,

Vibrating with your own aliveness,

This body is so alive and rich with intelligence,

With its own vibrancy,

You don't need to manage it,

There isn't anybody in here managing it,

Let it be,

It's doing great on its own,

The more we let it simply be,

Let's feel the whole chest into the solar plexus and belly now again,

Feel that you're 100% inhabited,

Maybe you feel on the left side or the right side,

A little less inside yourself,

See if you can sink into that side a bit more,

Let the sound show you all the way to deepen in,

Like you're putting yourself inside your own suit here,

Let it be pajamas,

Let it be very soft and comfortable,

All down and through your lower belly,

Mid-belly,

Lower back,

Pelvis,

Feel that sound just reverberating through,

Sinking into yourself,

Sinking into your hips,

Your legs,

Your feet,

Your arms,

Down into your ankles and feet,

The whole body from the back to the front,

Especially the back,

Leaning into the back,

Sides and inside,

Is vibrating,

Is opening with all this beautiful sound,

Feeling your whole vibration inside your whole body,

Letting it just continue to open it and open it,

Nothing to do but savor it,

Savor the sensation of your whole being vibrating,

Your whole aliveness,

Notice how that vibration,

That aliveness doesn't end at the skin,

Feel the vibration of your being inches beyond the skin,

A foot beyond the skin,

Let yourself be undone and not know where you begin and end,

It's safe,

It's totally safe,

Nothing's lost,

Nothing is undone in reality,

In fact,

More is put together by being fully in your own seat here,

Taking your seat inside your own being fully,

Notice this quality of space,

Of permeability through the skin,

Notice how that sound moves through space,

Through the body and let the body keep unwinding into that spaciousness,

Let the mind keep unwinding into that spaciousness,

Let yourself fully unwind and dissolve into that spacious awareness that you're floating in,

This spacious awareness that's holding you,

That holds your whole body in place,

The ocean of spacious awareness that you are floating in,

Made of,

Is also utterly quiet,

This body,

These thoughts and sensations,

They are floating in an ocean of silence,

Made of silence itself,

Put all your awareness into that silence,

Rest in the silence,

Completely,

Simply let it dissolve you without doing a thing,

By being aware of the silence permeating your whole body and the room and the air and the ground,

There's nowhere it isn't,

Simply being aware of that heals you,

Supports you,

So surrender completely to it,

It is safe and so supportive,

The silence is absolutely everywhere,

You don't have to look for it,

You're made of it,

So just let it hold you,

Let it dissolve you,

It's completely safe,

Perhaps you can feel an area of the body that's a bit painful or dense,

See if you can let that silent awareness,

That breeze,

That cool breeze or warm breeze of pure silence,

Wash through there,

Wash through that dense area,

Let it touch you,

Let it support you,

It's safe to open up there,

It's safe to surrender that spot to this vast support,

This love really,

You're safe,

You're held,

You're held in this pure silence or source,

Most fundamentally,

This pure silence,

This vast field of nothingness,

Which is also full,

Is who you are and it can run the show,

You don't have to put yourself together now,

You can stay undone,

Stay here as this vastness,

The body is still here,

You can feel your belly and feel your head and feel your feet,

Thoughts are still here,

Maybe,

But they don't actually block this vastness,

Nothing does,

It's always here,

It's always who you are,

So as we connect as seeming individuals,

By slowly opening your eyes,

Taking all the time you need,

You don't have to leave the silence,

It's still right here,

Notice as you open your eyes that this didn't go anywhere,

Stay totally connected to that vast silence.
