This meditation helps you access the silent field that is already here. There is no doing, no right way, nothing you need to control. There's a deepness of the moment that is available to your awareness, not your mind. These sounds and guides walk you into that silent space. Just relax, and listen.
Transcript
Some meditations take us into a kind of trip or trance.
Or we imagine we're going somewhere.
But notice right now,
Awareness just is here.
It's always just here.
And more than that,
It's everywhere.
It doesn't go anywhere.
It doesn't go on a journey.
We're landing in this awareness.
Landing fully inside of it.
And it's your birthright.
It's utterly natural.
It takes no effort to just be that awareness that you already are.
So if ever during this meditation,
You get a bit captivated by thought,
Come on back to awareness.
Let it be slow and evolving.
There's nowhere to go.
There's nothing to figure out.
No knowledge to be had.
Let yourself dissolve.
This awareness can be aware of the moment,
Fullness of the moment.
If it has a preference,
It's to be here with you,
This body.
Ultimately,
You're the awareness and this awareness loves to be this body,
Loves to be deeply in touch with it.
And this body loves to be touched by awareness.
They're like beloveds coming together.
So we're just going to bring awareness into the chest.
Letting awareness sink into the chest,
Just feeling the chest.
Breathing does itself.
The body completely takes care of itself.
We don't need to control it.
We don't even need to breathe.
Letting the body breathe itself and savoring that breath.
Feeling the ribs expand,
Feeling the sternum,
Feeling the back of the ribs and the spinal cord in the back of the chest.
Feeling the air,
The cool air coming through your nose down into the lungs.
Giving the body over,
Letting it be.
Letting life live itself.
No separate me involved.
That separate me,
The doer,
The meditator,
Is a hallucination.
Nothing to do with reality.
And this body is so wanted,
So loved by awareness.
It would have to be a separate self that would ever disconnect from this body.
Awareness loves to connect with it.
So feeling deeply inhabited in your chest now,
All the way to the back,
From the inside,
Feeling into that spinal cord,
Inside each vertebrae.
Feeling inside the tissues that connect the ribs.
Feeling that beautiful expansion and contraction.
Feeling into the whole front of the chest and the sides.
And feeling a bit bigger in the chest,
Feeling the energetic imprint of the chest that is several inches,
And actually several feet beyond the skin.
So just for now,
Feeling that,
Feeling this bigness of your own chest,
The energetic pulse.
Feeling into the chest,
Can you feel a little pocket where there might be more density or pain?
A little pocket that could use some more awareness.
Maybe in your sternum,
Maybe in your right side rib.
What would it be to just bring awareness to soak that area?
To permeate it,
To feel into it.
And sometimes when we get to these disinhabited areas,
The mind gets chatty,
Attempting to distract and that's totally fine,
A deep bow to that mind,
Respect even.
But just for now,
What would it be to be bewildered,
To not know anything about that area?
And to instead simply be with it,
Feel it,
Touch it.
Let's feel deeply inhabited in the whole chest,
360 degrees around.
And feeling down into that spinal cord,
Let's travel down a little bit into the solar plexus area.
It's just at the bottom of the rib cage in the back,
Feeling into those vertebrae for now.
Awareness can dive in,
Can inhabit,
You can't know it mentally.
You don't know if you're there,
You'll never know.
But here is a feeling of being in contact with oneself,
In touch with our own aliveness,
Our own being.
Nothing to know but to feel.
I just feel right in the front of the spinal cord coming into that forward part of the solar plexus that's often quite grippy.
Awareness,
This soft awareness looking out of your eyes and hearing my voice.
It has a warmth and a sweetness to it.
That you don't have to conjure.
It's built in.
And so when we bring awareness to soak that solar plexus,
Can we feel the sweetness of that?
The natural ease and softening that the solar plexus does having been touched.
The body with any inward touch just naturally softens like a baby in safe arms.
Soothed and just softening and softening and softening from that touch.
Just awareness aware of the solar plexus coming all the way forward,
Feeling through the solar plexus out the front.
There's a lot of activity here a lot of energy.
Feel this open out the front and open out the back.
And to feel the music permeate.
Let the music show you the sensation there.
Your liveness there.
Let it vibrate through the whole solar plexus area,
Soothing it,
Opening it with zero effort on your part,
Total receptivity.
And bewilderment not knowing what's happening not tracking it.
Let that vibration of the sound be felt now in the organs in the belly area,
Coming down a little further.
Bringing awareness to slide down that spinal cord.
All the way down and through that tailbone area.
Letting the sound vibrate the tailbone vibrate the vertebra.
Very passively allowing the being to just be the body to just be awareness not going anywhere.
Body allow it to just be feel the whole spine vibrating.
And now feeling the organs vibrate that whole midsection being felt into vibrating with sound made of sound made of energy.
From the mind.
We look like solid objects from awareness.
Were felt as energy and space.
It's okay it's okay.
If your guts spill out.
You can't tell where that belly begins and ends.
Don't know where the spinal cord is he just sense an aliveness there.
Letting it dissolve coming down into the pelvis now.
Feeling into the pelvis feeling the vibration of the sound inside the pelvis.
Your bottom letting it soften.
Just sink into the pelvis sinking all the way to the bottom,
Like sinking into a deep soft comfortable chair and sinking through the pelvis feeling that energetic signature of your being that is beyond the skin that vibrates out.
It has a natural boundary,
You need not worry or think about dissolving you won't dissolve.
We're just bringing a willingness to feel the larger aspects of our being.
The form is not lost.
Nothing's lost.
In fact,
Everything's gained.
The body balances itself out blood pumps more thoroughly.
More we're aware of our being the more we're inside our own pelvis our own legs.
Feeling into the 360 degree bowl of your pelvis,
All the way to the front net beautiful pubic bone down into the bottom,
Filling this large bowl of the pelvis with awareness,
Letting yourself just vibrate with the sound and let it dissolve.
Not know yourself,
Not identify yourself.
You don't need any tracking here.
All will be taken care of.
Feel into those upper legs from the inside noticing this continuity.
Notice.
Feel the rich energy inside your legs.
Maybe you can feel blood pumping.
Maybe there's an ache there.
The music vibrate all the way through the muscle groups.
Let it permeate the bones,
So that the bones.
Naturally just dissolve.
You can feel the aliveness of your being and stop tracking.
Absolutely everything.
Feel your kneecaps and inside the knee joints and beyond the knees.
Maybe if you're visual you can see these lit up knees,
Or you see a manner of pictures as you close your eyes.
If you're kinesthetic you can feel this light,
This energy emitting from the knees.
Feel this aliveness of yourself,
Of your own being,
Feeling down into the lower legs.
So alive.
Untrackable but alive.
In any area of pain or density,
Letting it be bathed in sound,
Bathed in awareness.
This is the healing.
Awareness,
Touching the parts that have been ignored.
Left out a bit in the cold.
Warmly.
And simply touching them with awareness feeling into the ankles now.
And into the feet one movement of energy,
Extending down into the bones of the feet and the pads of the feet.
The nails and your toes,
The tips of your toes,
The arches.
Feeling your deeply inhabited in your feet.
And those feet do not begin and end.
You'd have to go to the mind.
But we stay is that awareness and feel the unknown,
Live in this untrackable alive in this of the feet.
And these are roots shooting out the bottoms of the feet.
So connected energetic trees we are connected to the forest of each other.
All of life.
And as you go through the body.
It's just depressurizing so much open so much so any deep exhales are very welcome.
The mouth very natural process.
And feeling just means returning to wholeness returning to true nature.
Sensing that it's come up to the shoulders now.
The back of the shoulders and the shoulder blades feeling through their spine between the shoulders just feel that sound permeate that area.
Let the sound bathe the shoulder joints and the collarbones soaking through awareness and sound together,
Lifting off any weight on those shoulders,
Letting it fly right off.
Sift right off.
Those shoulder blades,
All down through the back,
Deep inside the bones.
You might be able to feel wings sprout there.
Opening up the back,
Feeling into the back of the shoulder blades and wings,
A foot,
Two feet,
Bringing awareness to feel into the chair behind you to feel into the space,
Several feet behind you,
Opening up the back.
Beautiful,
Let's just feel down into the arms as well.
Not knowing where the arms begin and end but feeling that pulsation inside the upper arms down into the lower and especially the pulsation of the wrists and the hands.
Made of vibration.
Unknown to the mind.
Don't know anything about your hands,
Letting everything be bewildering.
And simply the sensation.
You'll notice the sensation inside the hands is alive.
It's also quite spacious again no idea where the hands begin and end.
Just this aliveness being vibrated with sound.
Letting those boundaries dissolve feeling into the neck now the base of the neck,
Front and back into the spine,
Putting awareness inside the spinal cord every vertebrae being inhabited.
The throat,
The bands of muscle.
Vibrating with the sound awareness just aware of the feeling inside the neck.
Notice the spot that's a little denser painful.
Without doing anything about it or naming it or giving it an identity.
What is it to passively receive sound passively let awareness.
Soak that area.
Awareness just touching it sound just touching it.
Naturally soothing.
No more effort than that.
Nothing but just a touch of awareness,
A willingness to stay with that spot.
Just witnessing it dissolve a little more and a little more.
Passive natural process of awareness,
Opening the body.
To feel that neck just dissolve into spaciousness dissolve into sound.
Become very supple,
Very open.
Maybe there's another spot that could be bathed in your own awareness bathed in the sound with no mind necessary.
Nothing to know.
Beautiful and then we're going to come all the way up into the head.
Feeling into the very back of the head,
Back of the skull,
Or the brain stem meets brain.
That spot is so lovely to be connected with that juncture point of the central nervous system.
Bringing awareness right there,
The brain meets the spinal cord.
Just bringing awareness to soak there for a moment.
Receive the vibration of sound.
We start to open up that limbic system that part of the being that can feel safety.
Awareness,
Attention,
Being with ourselves cues the body,
And it's safe.
And this is a very juicy spot for that.
Just feeling that feeling that you're coming forward a little bit.
Forward the back third of the brain and skull,
And then coming forward to the very middle of the brain.
Middle of the skull.
Feeling the very top of the skull.
That middle third.
Very top tippy top of the skull just feeling that putting awareness there and letting the music vibrate it.
Still let it dissolve a bit more to let it open.
Go as slow as you'd like here.
No concentration no effort that all that drop away.
The nervous receiving sound,
The body,
Receiving awareness,
Coming forward behind the eyes,
Coming forward into that forebrain and that forehead,
The front part of the skull,
Wrapping around the temples,
Feeling into the eyes themselves and feeling into the eye sockets and the forehead,
Bringing awareness from behind the face to permeating top half of the face,
Feeling into the top of the nose and the eyebrows,
And letting all that beautiful sound just soak through,
Helping show awareness where the being could use a little more.
Hold a lot of tension in this area to just put awareness there's to reassure our being safe.
It's held.
It's always been held in awareness.
It always will be held in awareness and it can completely let go into that awareness.
Held like a baby from deep inside all the way through the whole body,
Held in the arms of awareness,
Feeling into the cheekbones and under the eyes,
The tip of the nose and the roof of the mouth,
Letting it all vibrate with sound.
The teeth,
The lips,
The jaw,
The chin,
Tongue,
Soaked with awareness,
Softened with sound and feel how the energetic imprint of the face is beyond the face.
You've lost that boundary there.
Several inches beyond the front of the face and behind the head,
On top of the head,
Feeling the whole head now.
Softening with this vibration softening with the touch of awareness.
As you feel all the way around 360 degrees around that head.
There's a spot,
There's a few spots.
Might be a little sore or dense.
Awareness is so soft,
Naturally soft.
How about we just soak that area in soft awareness,
Letting it permeate.
The body just letting go feeling so safe,
Safe to dissolve into the arms of soft awareness.
As you feel through the whole head now they dissolve into space,
Not knowing where your head begins and ends.
Let that awareness,
Move through the rest of the body,
Not knowing where the body begins and ends,
Letting yourself feel into the larger kind of egg of your own energetic.
Soft being.
The whole body,
Held in awareness vibrating with that fine soft vibration.
The sound reverberating through your whole body.
And as you bring awareness through the whole body now,
Wherever there's a little pocket,
A little grip.
Let it be soaked in sound soaked in awareness,
Like bathing a baby in warm water.
And feeling the soft egg of your own being.
Notice that there's no beginning or end here.
There's a quality and a sense of dissolve into spaciousness.
Music moving in space.
Awareness made of space.
Sense the spaciousness of it all.
The boundary listeners have it all.
The emptiness of it all.
Let yourself come undone.
In the soft awareness.
The soft,
Spacious awareness is also quiet.
You can be aware of sound.
Aware of the sound vibrating through our whole body.
Savoring that vibration.
Feel the sound vibrating your whole body in that soft way.
And then be aware of the silence between the notes.
The silence after my words.
There is endless silence here.
And the silence that permeates the body.
Permeates the chair.
And the room.
And the ground.
And the sky.
And you are that silent field.
Let yourself be that.
Let yourself not know anything with that.
Each sound points out that silent field.
Let awareness wander through it.
Let awareness go all the way into the depths of that silence.
It's an endless exploration.
But only awareness can go on.
Let yourself be shown the depth of silence.
It's everywhere awareness looks.
It's everywhere awareness looks.
There's immense,
Endless silence.
This endless silence is quiet.
It's like pure spring water.
Pure nourishment.
For every cell in your body.
And you're swimming in it.
It's pure,
Clean.
It's vast.
Quiet.
Let it completely have you.
Be that silent pool.
Let every bit of solid material dissolve into that freshness.
The It is always right here.
Never goes anywhere.
You're already soaked with it.
You already are it.
You are that silent,
Endless field of awareness.
It's so good to feel that.
To sense the endlessness of you.
The utter connectedness of you.
The depth and the breadth of this quiet.
If you feel an area of the body dissolving,
Let it just dissolve.
It's very safe.
It just wanders out theezer.
I'm taking all the time you need.
We're gonna very slowly,
Very slowly stretch any little area of the body that could use it.
You can listen for that from this vast awareness.
Slowly opening your eyes.
All the time you need.

What an amazingly beautiful, honest, sincere and wonderful reminder - like all the meditations youโve posted and that I have listened to/ let myself be guided by so far - of my (our) inner resources and the essence of life that I can sometimes feel so detached from. Thank you so much for leading me back home when I listen to it and for all that you have posted so far. Also - thank you for purposefully choosing silence and/or the precisely attuned music for your meditations - for the careful attention to detail in wording, sound, cadence and quietude.
