Forgiveness.
True love,
Both for oneself and others,
Comes from a healed heart.
And to heal our hearts,
We need to start with forgiveness.
The self,
The soul,
Should be so filled with compassion that the healing happens from deep within us and not just superficially.
The healing that happens through forgiveness makes us very light.
This lightness is our natural state.
To start the healing process in this meditation,
We will first explore self-forgiveness and then forgiving others.
Breathing in and out slowly,
Move into your quiet,
Still center.
Gently but firmly,
Affirm to yourself that for the next few minutes,
You will step away from your story,
The dramas around you,
And your to-do list.
Take a deep breath in,
And as you release that breath,
Allow yourself to simply be present in the moment.
For the next few moments,
Let's reflect on your capacity for self-compassion.
Take another deep breath in,
And while releasing that breath,
Remember your eternal identity as spiritual,
Conscious light.
If your mind wanders,
Keep coming back to the conscious light.
Keep steadying yourself in the awareness of being light and being in the moment.
Again,
As you breathe in and out,
Feel yourself far from the world,
Going deeper and deeper into a state of sacred peace.
Just allow yourself to be in this space.
See yourself as a young child that needs nurturing and care.
Talk to yourself as you would talk to a precious child.
Whatever mistakes I've made in the past,
I forgive myself.
I'm making a determined promise now to not repeat those mistakes.
I was unconscious at that time of how I was mistaken.
Now,
I am aware.
So I make this sacred promise to myself that I won't make those mistakes again.
In this awareness,
You realize that you only imprison yourself by allowing feelings of regret to fester inside you.
Keep repeating to yourself,
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
I forgive myself.
And also,
I am precious.
As a precious sacred being,
Let me just hold the purest,
Compassionate feelings for myself.
Allow the quality of self-compassion to completely fill your being.
No need for any other thoughts or stories on why and when.
Simply exist in the pure vibration of self-compassion for the next few moments.
Gently continue to breathe in and out deeply.
In this sacred space of self-compassion,
You're beginning to have pure feelings in your heart.
Now,
Let us focus on forgiving others.
With much gentleness and self-care,
Think of one person in your life that you can't seem to forgive.
See your feelings of resentment against that person.
You clearly see that these negative feelings are festering inside you like poison.
Gently affirm to yourself,
I am precious.
As part of self-compassion,
I have to leave this prison in which I'm holding myself.
To release yourself from this prison,
Understanding is essential,
And most importantly,
Realization.
Realization that we are all spiritual beings on a human journey.
So take a deep breath and allow yourself to visit your true spiritual home.
You come from a most pure place.
Beyond time.
Beyond the physical dimensions.
This is the eternal home of you,
The soul.
All of us come from this world of pure light.
In this world of light,
We are all pure and peaceful beings.
See yourself immersed in an ocean of peace.
You feel absolutely still and calm here.
Now gently bring yourself back to the room where you're sitting.
You return with your heart illuminated.
With openness towards the person you resented.
Silently affirm to yourself,
I forgive.
I forgive.
I forgive.
You understand that that soul is lost and in pain.
But to suffer is not the soul's true nature.
You deeply realize that holding any grudges engages you.
Keep affirming to yourself,
I release myself from this cage by forgiving that person.

I remember that both of us come from the sacred world of light.
For the next few minutes,
See that person's whole story.
See your whole journey.
See them and yourself as pure lights,
As eternal souls that are on a human journey.
All of us,
Each one of us,
Is pure and peaceful when we began this journey.
Slowly and gently come back.
As your awareness shifts,
You begin to see everyone around you as they truly are.
This helps you heal your heart and illumine your mind.
Your heart is filled with pure feelings.
You feel a sense of joy,
Lightness and freedom because you have released yourself from the prison of holding grudges.
You feel carefree and you're flying free.
