Resilience.

Scientific studies have shown that we each have a psychological immune system that helps us correct an emotional imbalance that robs us of happiness.

Just as the body's immune system helps us fight disease,

Similarly each one of us has an inner immune system,

Commonly known as resilience,

That enables us to find meaning and synthesize happiness,

Even out of seemingly horrible events.

By regularly unplugging from the world and going into our soul space,

We can boost our inner immune system.

Actually,

The current state of the world is implicitly imploring us to engage in a daily contemplative practice.

It has become a basic necessity,

Like food,

Clothing and shelter,

Because it helps us achieve resilience from the inside out.

In this meditation,

We will learn to adapt and revitalize in the world's new normal.

For this meditation,

I want you to sit on a chair with your spine straight.

Your feet are planted on the ground,

Slightly apart.

Now take a slow,

Deep breath.

Breathing in and out.

As you breathe out,

Imagine that your tension is oozing out of the body through your feet into the ground.

Again,

Breathe in and while breathing out,

Visualize emptying all your tension into the earth.

Once more,

Breathe in deeply and while breathing out,

Allow the stress and anxiety you're holding to leave the body your feet into the earth.

Continue to breathe deeply in and out,

In and out,

As you connect with your spiritual form.

See yourself as a beautiful,

Luminous being of light within the body.

You're in the body,

But distinct from it.

Now let your body slowly vanish from your consciousness.

As your body vanishes,

You become aware of yourself as pure light.

As you gain this awareness,

Slowly and gently,

You enter into a serene space of absolute tranquility.

In this space,

Waves of stillness are washing over you.

You're beginning to feel soothed and relaxed.

These waves of stillness refresh your mind and bring your consciousness to a beautiful sanctuary of stillness.

You feel safe and protected here,

Slowly and gently.

Allow yourself to let your guard down and touch your purity and innocence.

It's as if you never suffered any pain,

Nor had any worry.

You feel as innocent and carefree as a newborn child.

It's as if nothing has ever happened to you.

Your mind is innocent,

Quiet and carefree.

In this moment,

Powerfully visualize your existence without your current story.

Ask yourself,

Who am I without my story?

Who am I if all the external dramas never happened to me?

Take a deep breath and the simplicity and sweetness of just being an innocent child.

Give yourself permission to rest from your story.

Take a respite from your story and just simply be for a few moments.

As you rest from your story,

You feel free,

Expansive and strong.

Stepping far,

Far away from the world and your dramas gives you the strength to be resilient in the face of crisis.

Real,

Lasting resilience is our ability to return to our original state of well-being,

No matter what life throws at us.

It is facing our fears and insecurities without losing hope and without forgetting our real identity.

In this space of strength,

Affirm to yourself that you will have a daily spiritual practice.

This practice is your inner preparedness in case of physical or emotional emergencies.

This will help train your mind to let go of worries and develop a healthy,

Robust attitude toward the world.

Let's repeat a de-stressing exercise again.

Take a nice slow,

Deep breath.

Breathing in and out.

As you breathe out,

Imagine that any unwanted energy is oozing out of the body through your feet into the ground.

Once more,

Breathe in deeply and while breathing out,

Allow any remaining stress and anxiety you are holding to leave the body through your feet into the earth.

Take a moment now and feel the sense of serenity in your body.

This sense of well-being is slowly and gently pulling you into a deep state of stillness.

In this state of deep peace,

You begin to see your eternal self,

The luminous light of pure consciousness.

And as the calm settles over you,

The soul,

You realize that you're linked to a spiritual world,

An ocean of pure energy.

Allow yourself to connect to this energy source that is continually flowing through the universe.

Take a few moments now and simply connect to the pure vibrations of this pure higher reality.

Fill every fiber of your being with the love and light of this spiritual world.

You're beginning to feel alive and refreshed.

Your mind feels calm and clear.

Take one last deep breath and savor the pure energy,

The peace,

The love and the joy of this world.

You feel carefree and light.

Joyous thoughts are flowing through your mind and your heart is following your mind.

In this state of well-being,

You deeply know and accept that the world is in a state of crisis.

You have the strength to face these troubles with courage and the resilience to be transformed and reborn through them.

With this resilience,

You enjoy the present moment and pour love into every task,

No matter what transpired in the past.
