Let's begin by taking a moment to stretch your body in any way that would help you to release tension.
Whether it's bringing your arms up over your head,
Rotating the neck,
Twisting the spine,
Or taking a moment to stand and stretch to release some of that tension,
Micro and macro,
And rotating the shoulders back and around,
Opening up the chest,
The heart center,
And allowing the shoulder blades to gently rest on the back,
The wings of your care and your kindness,
Allowing the hands to drop towards the earth,
The fingers reaching down,
Stretching through the arms,
Stretching down all the way through the fingertips as if you're reaching the earth,
Reaching the ground,
And breathing deeply into your body,
Filling yourself up.
And as you exhale,
Just exhaling through the body,
Through the arms,
The hands,
The fingers,
Allowing that breath to release all the way down to the earth.
And as you breathe into your body and create openness,
Connect to the weight that you've been carrying,
The heaviness on the back,
And softly and gently allowing that heaviness to dissipate,
Moving itself down the arms,
Down the hands,
The fingers,
Dripping off,
Releasing and letting go,
Breathing into the upper back,
Creating more space,
Creating more release of this tension and tightness,
The things you've been carrying around,
Just allowing them to soften and gently slide and glide down the arms,
Down through the hands and the fingers,
Dropping softly onto the earth.
What have you been carrying that's heavy,
That feels weighted,
Just softly inviting it to release.
Breathing up into the head,
The mind,
Creating space,
Allowing the breath to capture those worries,
Those things that keep you up at night.
Gently collecting them all and again allowing them to simply move down your body,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
Your hands,
Your fingers,
Softly dripping out,
Letting go,
Gently falling on the earth,
Being received with warmth and gratitude,
Releasing the burdens of the mind,
And then breathing into the heart center,
Creating a vast space to collect all those things that have been heavy on your heart,
And again allowing that heaviness,
That tightness,
That pain and suffering to simply wash down the arms,
The hands,
The fingers,
Softly and gently falling to the earth,
The earth that is willing to receive and take care of the burdens,
Of the heaviness,
Of the weight you've been carrying,
And when you feel complete,
Wiggle the fingers as if you're gently shaking off the last bit of water from cleansing your hands.
And now bringing your hands to your heart and breathe in deeply once again,
Breathing into your heart and filling yourself with light and love and goodness,
Filling yourself back up with energy that makes you smile,
That keeps you light,
That engages that sense of freedom and fun and connection with life,
Breathing this light in and allowing that to flow through your whole body,
Your whole being,
All cells,
Feeling that joy with that sense of openness and spaciousness,
The room that you've created by releasing the weight,
By decluttering what's been heavy and burdensome,
Smiling to yourself knowing you've offered yourself a beautiful gift of releasing with kindness and light and love and nourishing yourself and then others by refilling yourself with even more beauty.
