Welcome,
Welcome to this moment and to our meditation.
I'm so glad that you're here.
My name is Shanti.
And today we're going to be working with the element of ease.
Ease is one of my favorite feeling senses to connect to,
No matter what is happening in my day,
For those days that feel already flowing and wonderful,
It just adds to that.
And for those days where,
You know,
I meet some edges or some changes and challenges with that ease helps me to navigate those waters so that I can feel smoother,
More coherent,
More alive,
More really capable and confident in what I'm doing and my present moment.
The wonderful thing about ease is that it offers a lot of allowance,
Allowance of what's already right here.
And with that allowance,
We tap into the energy of grace.
And there's a gentle presence with ease.
We're not pushing towards something or pulling away from something,
We're really dropping in to the energy of the present moment without all of the fluff or strife that can be layered on top.
So let's practice with that right now.
And before we even begin,
Turn your attention towards your body.
You know,
Often some tension can accumulate as we move through the day.
So take a peek into your body right now.
And notice what would be helpful to release any tension or any tightness.
Feel free to bend to stretch to reach beyond to open to expand so that we can release.
It always feels really good to move the body and this helps to activate that heart energy.
And now coming into whatever posture would feel right for you today,
Whether it's standing or laying down or sitting.
And as you do that,
Relax the belly.
Allow the belly to soften and gently begin to bring the breath in a little deeper and slower than usual.
And as you breathe in,
Feel the expansive nature of the breath,
The possibilities,
All of the places the breath can move to,
To open,
To brighten,
To lift.
As you breathe out,
You can breathe out with a feeling sense of a big sigh,
A sigh of release,
A sigh of relief,
Dropping the shoulders,
Unfurling anything in the body,
The heart or the mind that's holding on to things.
And continuing in this way to create space within to silently and slowly repeating the word ease,
Taking your time,
Ease.
I find that there's such a flowing nature,
Even in repeating the word ease.
It's wonderful to have it be a backdrop or a mantra to creating harmony in the chattering mind.
And as you connect to the word ease,
Slowly ripen the perception and the feeling sense of this word.
What does ease feel like for you?
How does it move and shape shift in your body?
What would ease of heart look like and feel like?
What is an easeful mind?
And just like a gentle river flowing on a warm summer's day,
Allow the feeling sense of ease to flow through you,
Through all of you.
Let yourself meander with the feeling sense of ease,
Meandering through the movements and the cadence of life.
With ease we flow with things.
We move along in conjunction with our moments.
We don't reject,
We don't need to change.
We're simply there as an active,
Solid,
Secure presence.
How would this manifest in your moment right now?
How would that manifest in the rest of your day today?
What would ease look like and feel like?
What are the possibilities of letting go of things,
Of allowing things to be,
Of activating a greater sense of grace?
How could an attitude of ease support you to smooth the edges of changes,
Of challenges,
Of meeting the moments?
So we can imagine our life as we meander through it,
With the feeling sense and the mindset and the heart set of ease.
And take a moment now to notice how ease has shown up for you,
Shown up for you in this moment.
What does it look like?
What does it feel like?
What does it taste like?
What are the scents and the smells?
What are the conditions?
How is it embodied within right now?
And as we become more and more familiar with the sensory experience of ease,
It becomes easier for us to drop into it.
Not only when it would be beneficial,
But also as a stabilizing force as we go through the day.
So it becomes a truer part of who we are.
Imagine yourself,
Imagine your life,
Coming to it with ease.
How beautiful is that?
How magical.
So going beyond the imagination to continuing to practice and play with ease.
I invite you to return to ease during small moments through the day.
In between meetings,
When you're at a stoplight or stop sign,
When you catch yourself drifting off,
Or getting agitated.
Or even in the morning before you put your feet on the floor,
Connecting to that feeling of ease.
So you're setting the intention for the day.
Thanks so much for being here.
Enjoy ease.
