This is a story about a wise garden that's here to teach you how to let go,

To help soothe anxiety,

OCD and any kind of thinking that makes us feel as though we have to be in control as you fall asleep there's nothing you need to do you can allow yourself to absorb these messages as you sleep trusting that it will work its magic and allow you to continue to let go as you sleep but for now allow yourself to start to relax your body this is your time to rest to be carried and to soften into sleep allow yourself to feel really cozy in the bed beneath you wrapping yourself in blankets,

Cushions,

Pillows,

Everything that makes you feel safe and comfortable to drift to sleep and that intention,

That beautiful intention of letting go of control,

Of feeling as though we have to be in control in order to be okay that intention for this meditation to start to absorb the messages of wisdom helps you to see a bigger picture of why it's safe to let go so take a slow deep breath in and let it sigh gently out again deep breath in and feeling yourself sigh that breath out feel your body beginning to grow heavy in the bed your head resting on your pillow,

Supported and held as you begin to relax your body you feel your shoulders loosening as though a weight is gently slipping from them and it feels so good to allow the body to relax,

To allow the shoulders to not have to carry your shoulders feel so far away from your ears as though that tension is falling your shoulders dropping allowing your breath to rise and fall your chest rising and falling without any effort at all watching as your body does this naturally without you telling it to watch as your belly softens as your body continues to breathe and how the body breathes you rather than you breathing it your hips and legs sinking deeply into the bed your feet feel loose and relaxed you notice how even now everything inside you is working perfectly without you doing anything at all your breath breathing you your body moving gently as your breath rises and falls your body knows exactly what to do and that gives you space to rest to sit back,

To lay back,

To switch off and as you breathe you start to imagine a wonderful golden mist around you and this golden mist is a magical mist that has the ability to transport you anywhere you'd like to go and your body feels as though it knows where it needs to go to learn and soak up wisdom your body feels as though it would like to visit a beautiful house with an incredible garden that you can wander through to help you in your mind's eye you start to imagine yourself now standing before the gates of this wonderful countryside manor the sun is warm the sky is soft blue dotted with drifting clouds this house feels inviting,

Familiar,

Like a place that welcomes you home its windows gleam with golden light and smoke curls gently from a chimney carrying the faint scent of a fire burning inside vast,

Secret and endless yet held safely within the ground these beautiful,

Incredible gardens right before you a sanctuary where you can walk,

Wander and rest you step through the gates onto a smooth stone path and with each step forward you feel lighter,

Safer this garden is so much more than a garden it's alive with wisdom as you walk there's this knowing that each corner of it has something to teach you a quiet message that will settle gently into your heart if you allow it you don't need to search you don't need to control you simply walk and simply receive the path leads you into a grove of tall oak and maple trees their branches are rich with golden amber,

Crimson leaves and as you walk beneath them the breeze stirs and leaves drift slowly down spiraling through the air to rest on the earth you pause to watch each breeze allowing leaves to slowly drift to slowly fall those rich orange,

Red,

Crimson leaves with ease falling from the trees as you gaze up at the trees and watch as the leaves fall you notice something you notice that the tree does not force the leaves to stay nor does it push them to fall it simply allows the time comes and the leaves let go this place whispers to you release comes in its own time you can let go gently just as the trees do you breathe deeply and with every exhale you feel yourself releasing something heavy you let your worries drift you let your worries drift from you like autumn leaves they fall softly and the earth accepts them this wisdom of allowing things to fall of not being afraid to let things fall it reminds you to not hold on to trust to neither push or pull you breathe softly in this garden's wisdom in autumn's wisdom as you continue to walk the garden begins to shift and a hush falls all around you the path softens beneath your feet as snow begins to gather in a blanket of white you look up and the trees now stand bare their branches reaching gracefully into the pale winter sky and the feeling that comes over you is that there is no rush a relief as you exhale and feel that there is no pressure to bloom no urgency to fix or improve you notice the snow beneath your feet the bark of the trees standing tall still so rooted so confident even if the leaves are bare and as you take in this scene you notice the usual tightening in your chest that urge to adjust or control is not there the familiar drop in your stomach when things don't appear just so does not come instead you feel a deep steadiness this knowing that this is how it's meant to be you take a look closer and snow you see clings in delicate crystals to every branch and twig the air is still sharp and pure each breath filling your lungs with a cool,

Calming clarity the world feels simple and serene as you stand here and even in its quiet emptiness there is such beauty the trees stand tall in their bareness unashamed,

Confident they do not try to cover themselves they do not rush to regrow their leaves they simply stand patient and at peace beneath the surface you know that life continues the roots rest deep in the soil gathering strength preparing silently for the turning of the seasons and though you cannot see it the garden is still very much alive in this stillness and the winter garden whispers to you you do not need to strive for perfection you do not need to control what is not yours to control even when things seem bare unfinished,

Imperfect they are whole for they are exactly as they should be you walk slowly here in the crunch of snow under your steps the silence here is not empty it's full of presence every tree,

Every branch every drift of snow is teaching you the same truth that you can let things be that you can allow life to look different than expected that you can trust even in stillness that you are being renewed winter is showing you that you are safe to release safe to rest safe to exist without effort and as you continue to walk through these gardens you notice the more you walk the more the snow begins to melt around you water trickles into little streams nourishing the soil tender green shoots rise blossom unfolds and birdsong begins to fill the air the whole garden seems to be waking up gently,

Naturally and as you look around this part of the garden you notice something you notice that not every flower blooms at once some buds around you open early others open late and yet together they create a tapestry of beauty spring is here to teach you that renewal comes naturally that growth has its own timing that you do not need to make it happen it unfolds by itself that new beginnings are natural that any fear you held in the last season did not truly need to be there winter was just a season and now you find yourself in a new one you smile softly letting this truth settle inside you you grow in your own way and in your own season you continue to take in all of the soft green buds the pink blossom opening up on the trees the white shoots coming through from the ground and you breathe in the spring air full of hope full of renewal again you notice that this all happened without you needing to tell it to that both your outer landscape looks like this and your inner landscape your inner world can look like this too you begin to trust more as you walk in to allow there is so much wisdom in allowing you continue to walk now and the air starts to feel warmer and warmer the sky feels as though it's brightening the garden feels with life around you you notice roses climbing the trellises fruit hangs heavy on the branches everything so ripe so vibrant pinks,

Reds,

Oranges purples,

Greens everything is in full bloom butterflies and bees drifting lazily from flower to flower their wings fluttering the sky so clear everything flourishes but notice again that nothing is straining the roses you see do not push themselves to bloom the fruit does not push to ripen and as you breathe you notice that summer simply happens and abundance follows the summer garden teaches you that your flourishing will come naturally your blooming will happen in its own time that you are not behind you are not late life will open in the right time you rest into this warmth absorbing this truth that you can bloom again and again in your own time if you allow yourself the blooming is a process and it's just one part of the process you stand here now absorbing summer's wisdom watching the abundance all around you soaking up that abundance soaking up what it feels like to have more than enough to not be fearing the autumn to not be fearing the fall because you are so full up so full up in abundance you walk further now and as you walk you see the seasons weaving into one another and it's so spectacular so incredible to watch as you move and weave and walk through the gardens the seasons weave into each other it's like you're seeing all the seasons together for the first time autumn into winter winter into spring spring into summer and summer back into autumn once more the cycle is endless endless,

Eternal and effortless you are not in charge of it nor do you need to be and yet it always always unfolds perfectly in its own time this wise garden teaches you you too are part of this rhythm you can trust your life to flow to change,

To renew itself you can let go of control you stand here for a few moments soaking up the seasons soaking up the endless cycle,

The weaving the knowing and at last you arrive at a quiet corner of the manor gardens perhaps a shaded bench beneath the old oak tree and perhaps a soft patch of grass beside a fountain where water flows gently you breathe and you can feel that the garden is holding you truly holding you and the manor stands behind you steady,

Protective and timeless you are safe here,

Watched over contained and held feel your body feeling more relaxed your mind soft and quiet and as you drift to sleep you absorb these truths,

These affirmations I am safe I let go of what I cannot hold life moves forward in its own time I do not need to force anything I trust the natural rhythm of life rest is part of growth my life unfolds beautifully I allow myself to surrender I am guided supported held I am free to let go I am safe life moves forward in its own time I do not need to force anything I trust the natural rhythm of life rest is part of growth life unfolds beautifully I allow myself to surrender I am guided supported,
