For the moments when you need to tune out from the outside world. When you feel too in demand and your notifications are constantly pinging. Remember you are allowed to be unavailable, you are allowed to reserve time just for you. You do not owe the world your constant availability. Come back home to yourself my love.

Use this as a guide when you are feeling totally overwhelmed by the outside world and you're almost struggling with information overload.

The outside world can get pretty noisy at times and especially in the space we're currently living in with technology,

Social media,

Phones,

World news,

It can very much get way too noisy,

Way too quickly.

I want you to just take a moment to actually appreciate that you're not alone in this feeling and to appreciate that information overload is a real thing.

Our human brains are not used to this amount of information,

This amount of stimulation and I think just because our world has so quickly adjusted to all of this,

It can almost feel as though you should be able to keep up with it,

That you should be okay with it but I want to just reassure you that it really is a lot.

So let's take some time to just step away from your phone and notifications and see if you can come into this practice as undistracted as you feel you can be.

I want you to take some slow gentle deep breaths just to come back into your body and to actually come home to yourself as opposed to being externally facing on the outside world.

You have full permission to come inwards,

Full permission to switch off from the outside noise.

Just continuing to slow that breath down,

Perhaps even consciously allowing your shoulders to relax,

To let go of any tension they might be holding on to.

Big deep belly breaths,

Letting go of that outside tension,

Creating some inner peace,

Some inner tranquility.

You are absolutely allowed to take time to just switch off from all of the noise of the outside world.

You do not have to constantly show up,

Be present,

Be switched on and be available.

That is not something that is needed from you nor is it a healthy place for us to actually be in.

I want you to imagine that you're almost setting your status to unavailable right now.

You don't need to tell anybody that but you are choosing to state that you are unavailable to the outside right now.

Just notice how it feels to actually do that,

To be able to say to yourself I'm unavailable right now.

This is you becoming available for yourself and yourself only in this practice.

Does that feel really different to what you're used to?

Does it feel like a relief?

Does it even feel anxiety provoking to sense this idea of being unavailable to the outside world?

Just see what comes up for you,

No judgment.

As you breathe and you show up in this practice I want you to just notice how available you have perhaps been today.

How many people have you been available to?

How many streams of availability have you been open to?

Have you been available through apps,

Through different forms of technology,

Through websites?

What are the ways where the outside world has been able to contact you or be with you and has that really worked for you?

Is that too much?

There's nothing wrong with being connected to the outside world,

In fact of course we need outside connection but this is just about taking a moment to recognize that perhaps the speed of which that is coming towards you at and the frequency and the amount has perhaps been too much.

So let's start to visualize a wonderfully protective layer between yourself and the outside world that allows you to connect but gives you a buffer so that you're not taking in every bit of information and everyone else's energy.

I want you to picture that before any information,

Energy,

Other people's stuff can enter your energetic field,

Your body,

Your being,

That there is a buffer between you and them,

You and the external.

Again notice if at the moment is there a buffer,

Is there already one there or can anything and anyone get in?

That buffer is a gap of about a meter or two that extends outwards from your body in a radius all around you,

One to two meters that buffers your entire being from the outside world.

What would you like that buffer to look like?

You get to pick,

Perhaps it's a color,

Pink,

Green,

Orange,

Perhaps it is simply an aura that you can feel protects you.

This aura is the gap between you and the outside world and this aura is the space where things are sorted,

Things are decided.

In this buffer zone that wonderful aura you can see decides whether that information or that energy is going to be good for you and if it's needed.

It works exactly as it needs to,

It is perfectly good at being able to decide is this good for me,

Do I need this?

If the answer is no then whatever is trying to come in simply bounces off.

If the answer is yes then you get to very consciously choose to invite it in because it feels like it's in your highest good.

I want you to sit with that image for a few moments without my voice guiding you,

Playing around with it,

Building upon it and really starting to see that you have this freedom to choose.

So allowing when you're ready this image to perhaps gently fade knowing that it is not going anywhere,

This is still there,

It still exists,

This wonderful buffer.

Starting to become perhaps just a little bit more aware of the space you're sitting or lying in,

Noticing any noises,

Sounds,

Smells around you.

When you're ready starting to roll your shoulders back,

Gently blinking your eyes open,

Taking some time after this if you need to just to be with you before you choose to consciously come back into the outside world.

Knowing that you now have this buffer,

You are now protected in a whole new way and you absolutely have choice in terms of what you choose to let in.
