This meditation brings the listener on a river journey. It is taken from my book, Connecting with Nature by Nancy Zick, and compliments the written meditation in chapter 6. May you experience peace and gratitude as you let go and allow life to unfold exactly as it is meant to. Namaste

Transcript

Find a comfortable position and begin focusing on your breath.

Honor the time that you are giving yourself.

Know that you have all the time you need.

Release any thoughts,

Worries,

Or concerns that may be invading your mind.

Breathing in slowly,

Counting if it helps you to stay focused on the breath.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Exhale slowly.

One,

Two,

Three,

Four.

Repeat this pattern until you feel totally present in this moment.

Take time to honor and thank yourself for being right here,

Right now.

Sometimes it may be difficult to release thoughts or concerns.

If this is your challenge in this moment,

Honor and thank yourself for recognizing this.

Find peace in the midst of wherever you are,

Right here,

Right now.

Imagine you are floating down a river.

Allow yourself to let go and relax.

Surrender as life's current carries you.

Hear the sweet songs of the birds,

The quiet breeze rustling through the trees,

The gentle lapping of the water as it brushes the shoreline.

Feel the warmth of the sun shining down.

Smile and enjoy the peace of the moment.

Inhaling,

You smell the fragrance of nature around you.

Perhaps the smell of leaves,

Or the fresh scent of pines,

Or flowers,

Or newly fallen rain.

Whatever you are smelling brings you a feeling of belonging.

Look around you.

What do you see?

Who or what is there?

Plants?

Animals?

Or other beings?

Gaze up and notice the white fluffy clouds floating by and the beautiful blue sky.

Gently place any distracting thoughts on a cloud and watch it drift by.

Notice the gentle meandering of the river and realize this is a reflection of your life.

Taking unexpected turns,

Yet continuing to gently flow as long as you give in to the current and not resist.

You are quiet.

You are calm.

You are gentle with yourself.

You are peaceful.

This is the place where letting go can be found.

This is the place of total surrender and acceptance.

This is the place of restoring mind,

Body,

And spirit.

And all is good.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

You are the only one who is still alive.

Gently bring your awareness back to the space you are in.

Focus on your breath once again and begin to gently move your body.

Feel the energy now coursing through every fiber of your body,

Filling you with balance.

Find gratitude for the opportunity to let go and allow life to unfold exactly as it should.

When you are ready,

Open your eyes.

Namaste.

Thanks for the concept and for the silence in the music to contemplate.
