Please close your eyes my beautiful dreamer,
Make yourself as comfortable as you can.
It's time to let go of the outside world for a little while so you can turn your attention inward gently without any effort because that's where this journey begins inside of you.
So please let yourself go there now,
Take some long slow deep breaths in through your nose and as you exhale through your mouth let the breath fall out of you naturally like a long sigh you didn't know you were needing.
There is nothing to get right here,
Nothing to do try or be,
Absolutely nothing to achieve.
Just the simple act of connecting deeply to yourself and your own powerful inner world.
For this moment you are simply allowing yourself to exist.
You don't need to hold anything together here,
You don't need to keep track of time,
You don't need to understand where this journey is taking you.
Just let your body soften into the truth that you are allowed to be.
Exactly as you are.
Whatever is present,
Let it be here.
Tiredness,
Racing thoughts,
Fear,
Curiosity,
Numbness,
Resistance.
Nothing is filtered out,
This is a place where you arrive fully into yourself.
Feel the weight of your body where it's supported,
Feel the simple gravity of being human.
This is an ordinary moment in your life and that matters because real healing doesn't arrive with fireworks.
Healing arrives quietly.
When you finally stop rushing past yourself.
As you breathe deeper into yourself,
Feel the outer world fading away now.
Not disappearing,
Just stepping back.
Your awareness is being called home.
This is you noticing what has always been here.
This is you noticing yourself.
This is a very real,
Very raw,
Very healing threshold.
You have arrived inside yourself.
And from here,
Using your imagination,
I want you to see the outside world that is your current reality.
At first glance,
Everything appears normal.
The buildings,
The rooms,
The people,
The furniture of your life.
Nothing is missing,
Nothing is broken.
And yet,
Most of the colour has gone.
Not suddenly,
It faded over time.
Like the saturation of your life was slowly turned down until everything became grey,
Beige and dull.
This world you see is the old world of you.
This is a world built from what's already happened.
From experiences in your life that you never put down.
From memories with pain that was never released.
There are cupboards here full of emotional clutter.
Drawers never opened,
Things carefully kept long past their sell-by date.
Feel what it's like in this world to be carrying so much that's past its sell-by date.
Not because you want to,
Just because you always have.
The air in this world is stale,
Damp,
Heavy.
Old conversations echo,
Old criticisms repeat.
Beliefs inherited and replayed,
Even though they no longer belong to you.
This world is fine,
There's nothing technically wrong here and yet,
Nothing truly changes.
Nobody thrives here,
You don't thrive here.
This old world is outdated and it's time for you to leave.
Ahead of you,
Rising from the ground,
Is the wall you built inside yourself.
It grows higher and higher,
Huge,
Endless.
This is the comfort zone you built to keep yourself safe.
You didn't build it on purpose,
You built it whilst trying to survive.
Brick by brick,
Moment by moment.
You chose safety over aliveness.
I want you now to see written on this wall,
In dripping red letters,
The words Freedom from your comfort zone on the other side.
This wall has kept you predictable,
Manageable.
But do you really want to stay here?
Because now you have another choice.
At the base of the wall near to you,
You see two heavy metal mallets.
One for each hand.
These mallets represent your choice.
You don't have to pick them up,
You could stay,
But you won't.
So please,
Take them now and feel their weight in your hands.
Feel your courage rise.
Stand before the wall now.
Know that your freedom is on the other side of your old comfort zone.
And it's enough now.
It's time for you to live in colour again.
So when you're ready,
Please begin to swing.
Swing those mallets and set yourself free.
Not politely,
Not carefully,
But with everything you have.
See yourself now,
Destroying the old comfort zone that has kept you imprisoned for way too long.
This is your time.
Each strike loosens something old that you don't need.
Colour is so close.
Each strike is bringing you back to colour.
This is demolition in service of yourself.
Knock down the old now.
The wall finally surrenders.
Cracks spread.
Light of every colour starts to leak through.
Blue,
Pink,
Green,
Yellow,
Violet.
Technicolour life.
And the wall dissolves.
Not into rubble,
But into pure dust made of colour.
And then an imaginary wind catches this colour and rushes it towards you.
Soft and alive.
Coating your skin.
Your bones.
Your soul.
With Technicolour.
Feel yourself standing inside the heart of colour.
It's not neat.
It's not careful.
It's not organised.
It's a glorious,
Chaotic,
Unfiltered mess of colour.
And your body recognises this.
Because this is the world that you were meant for.
You are not meant for muted tones or restraint.
You are here for the full spectrum of being human.
That means the joy and the grief.
The pleasure and the pain.
The light and the depth together.
Allow it all to be here in this new world.
And let colour now move into every place that went numb inside you.
You are not just covered in colour.
You are participating in colour.
In this world,
Your life is no longer controlled or contained.
In this world,
You are allowed to be everything.
Part of all of it.
Your world is bigger now.
More alive.
More alive and full of possibility.
Because you broke down the wall inside you.
You set yourself free.
Take a long,
Slow,
Deep breath here.
Feel the colour moving everywhere inside you.
And as you start to return gently,
Feel how this new world of colour has integrated into you.
And come back to yourself,
To your body,
To the space you're in.
And welcome back,
My beautiful dreamer.
Well done.
You just brought the colour back into your life.
