Take a magical journey to the sea in your mind and explore the sights, smells, and sounds as you spend time playing at the beach. This is suitable for younger children ages 3-8 years old. Children learning to meditate in their early years helps give them optimal tools to enhance emotional regulation and calm their minds as they journey into young teens and adults.

Today we're going to take a trip to the beach.

Did you know that you could go to the beach in your very own mind?

That's how powerful your mind is.

You can go anywhere you like.

So let's try.

Can you come to sit down nice and tall?

Or you can lay down on your back.

And then see if you can make your back nice and tall and relax your back down to the floor if you're laying down.

Open up your hands,

Let them rest on the floor and take a deep breath in with me through your nose out through your mouth.

Try it again.

Deep breath in,

Out through your mouth and one more deep breath in and out through your mouth.

Let's try to relax our body so we can take a trip in our mind to the beach.

See if you can relax your shoulders and make your arms like jelly,

Nice and soft.

Make your fingertips nice and soft.

Can you relax your chest?

And how about your belly?

See if you can breathe softly into your belly and then exhale and let it relax.

Relax your hips,

Relax your bottom.

Can you make your legs nice and relaxed?

Super soft.

But keep your back nice and tall if you're seated up.

And then take one more deep breath in with me and exhale,

Let it out.

Now imagine that you are laying down or sitting on the beach.

Feel the warm sand under you.

Feel the sunshine kiss your skin.

And wow,

Take a deep breath to smell the sea with me.

Ah,

That's a beautiful smell of the sea.

Now imagine that you're looking out at the waves and you see the waves come towards you and then you see the waves move back,

Back,

Back to the sea.

And then again you see the waves move towards you and you see the waves go back,

Back,

Back far away.

And then you take a deep breath in again and smell the sea as you let it out.

Now imagine that you stand up and you walk your feet in the warm sand.

And it feels really comfortable to step on the sand and you feel very safe at the beach.

And you walk your feet forward and forward.

Watch your feet make a print in the sand.

And as your feet come forward,

They get closer to the water.

And then you feel the cool water touch your feet.

It feels so good.

You look out at the sea and you watch the sea come towards and swallow your feet.

And then the water moves away.

And then the water moves forward and you feel the cool water on your sea.

And the water moves away.

And then the water moves forward and you feel the cool water on your skin.

And you watch the waves move forward and back.

And now imagine that you could do anything you wanted at the sea.

What would you do?

Shhhh!

Don't tell me.

Go and do what you would do in the magic of your mind at the sea.

Go and do it now.

Wow,

That's amazing.

Know that you can come back to the sea any time.

For now,

Let's take one last deep breath and smell the sea water.

And exhale,

Let it out.

And slowly start to feel your body move and wiggle.

Wiggle your fingers.

Wiggle your toes.

Wiggle your legs.

Wiggle your arms.

And come back to your home.

Open your eyes and know that the magic of the sea is always in your mind.

And you can go there any time you want.

So let's take a deep breath together.

Exhale,

Let it out.

And be sure to tell your parents,

Your brother,

Your sister,

Or any of your friends what you did at the beach today.
