So let's practice a simple and easy to follow breathing practice that's going to help amp up your energy but also bring more air into the body and expand the lungs more than we're used to.
It's a great way to strengthen our breathing,
It's a great way to increase energy and it's available to anyone.
So go ahead and come to sit.
Now as you sit,
Lift your back nice and tall.
So you want to open up your breathing muscle here.
Lift your back nice and tall,
Broaden your shoulders,
Let your shoulders gently drop back.
Rest your arms in your lap.
Relax your head,
Relax your neck,
Relax the muscles of your face.
Relax your eyes as they either close or remain lightly open.
Soften your jaw,
Even feel the tongue rest in your mouth.
Soften your throat and your neck.
And allow the weight of your hips and your legs to drop down into the earth.
Feel that nice length across your spine.
And turn your attention to your breath.
Breathe into the nose and let that breath drop into the throat,
The chest and down towards the belly.
And as you exhale,
Feel the breath move out from the belly,
Out up and into the chest,
The throat and the nose.
Try to keep the mouth closed.
Now as you breathe in,
Feel the air drop down into the body,
All the way into the pit of your pelvis and beyond.
And as you exhale,
Feel the air move up from your pelvis.
Pull up through your ribs,
Your chest,
Your throat and out through your nose.
And just feel a nice deep full breath that is a level suitable for you on the inhale.
And a full breath out on the exhale,
Allowing the toxins to pulse out.
Breathing is more applicable to relieving the toxins from the body,
Not always just bringing new air in.
So as you inhale,
Feel the breath drop down,
Create space and see and feel a lift in your spine.
And as you exhale,
Feel the old air start to gently pulse up and out.
And now let's start our breathing technique.
So we're going to inhale for four counts in,
Pause and six counts out.
It's called our double down breathing.
So as you inhale,
Follow with me for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
So you feel the body rise,
Pause,
Exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
And if you're not on my count,
Just keep it going.
Breathe in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Fill up your whole body,
Pause and let it out for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Pause.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Pause.
Exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Pause.
Feel the breath move in for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Pause.
Let it out for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Pause.
Again,
One more time.
Inhale for one,
Two,
Three,
Four.
Pause.
Exhale for six,
Five,
Four,
Three,
Two,
One.
Pause.
Now just return to one full breath in and down to your body.
And one full breath up and out from your body.
And even envision that as you inhale,
You begin to feel your body expand and fill with new energy.
And as you exhale,
Anything old,
Anything stagnant,
Anything toxic begins to pulse and lift up and out.
Lengthen your spine.
Begin to feel back into your body.
Wiggle your fingers.
Swallow.
Open your eyes or lift your gaze.
Look around.
And just notice how you feel.
Take a moment to thank yourself for dedicating a whole five minutes to breathing and to centering in and being with yourself.
Thank you for joining me.
