Transcript

This is a meditation for the morning.

Let's begin by first closing your eyes or Maybe focusing them somewhere That isn't moving just giving them a place to land Go ahead and get comfortable Choosing a body position that feels good for you Maybe you're sitting with your legs crossed Or in a chair with your feet on the ground Or even lying down Your position doesn't matter as long as you are comfortable and alert Now take one deep cleansing breath in inviting in the newness of the day as you fill your body with air and Exhale it all the way out bringing your breath into a comfortable easy rhythm begin to Invite your attention inward Take a moment Notice the air touching your skin notice any sounds that you may hear and Feel the rise and the fall of your chest as You breathe Be here right now and notice When a thought comes up for you just watch it like a cloud moving across the sky and gently Compassionately Bring yourself back into the present moment Today is a new day in this moment.

You have the opportunity to begin again Today you have the opportunity To invite in whatever it is That you wish to invite be it love gratitude kindness grace And as you take an inhale Imagine that which you are inviting Coming in towards you to you and through you Maybe it feels a little bit Like warmth or a radiating of color light Maybe as you consider this invitation you Notice even a little smile or an ability to soften Now at the same time that you're inviting in For this day,

Whatever it is you might need or desire consider what it is that You may want to let go of today or not carry with you today and With your next exhale just imagining the breath carrying that with it You may notice a release You may notice the lightness and on the next several breaths just in this practice of Inviting in and letting go all at the same time in each and every breath now begin to let that go that practice go for just a moment and Maybe because of this practice this time spent You're able to Think of a clear intention That you wish to set For this day that is ahead of you Perhaps it's to return to this practice at any moment.

You may need it you can do it in the single breath of an inhale and exhale perhaps There's a broader intention that you wish to set for the day word quality of being something to Both remember and root yourself in and Maybe to help that intention Make its way not just from your mind,

But into your body.

Maybe take one hand and place it over your heart the other hand on top of it or anywhere else that feels okay and Just simply speak the intention to yourself And when you are ready,

There's no rush and you are ready to move forward and Into this day.

You can go ahead and blink your eyes open or back into focus If you wiggle your fingers and toes and take a little stretch Maybe you find yourself yawning yourself awake and Just once more reminding yourself that at any point today That you need to return to this idea of inviting in what you need letting go of what you don't or Remembering this intention that you've set you simply have to return To your own breath your own inhale and exhale.

Have a great day
