The secret of motherhood.

The deepest love I have ever known.

Also the strongest fear,

Worry,

And doubt.

Motherhood comes to us in an instant.

A first breath.

At first glance.

But it is a long road of becoming.

Navigating the twists and turns,

The ebbs and flows is in itself a full time job.

But each night,

At the end of a long day,

The real beauty of motherhood swells in the bellies of our hearts.

I am her mother.

I made her with my body.

With my heart.

And even though she will make and remake herself over and over again,

I know this one thing.

Wherever she goes,

She carries my heart with her.

No matter who she becomes or loves,

My love is hers until the end of time.

This is the secret of motherhood.

Kept for thousands of years.

Passed from woman to woman.

And only uncovered with each newly born mother.
