Welcome to this morning meditation for a rainy day.

I'm Saras Nekroce coming to you from my home office in Switzerland where it's raining today.

I'll be your guide today.

So if you're feeling a bit down because of the grey skies and rain,

Hopefully this meditation is here to help you embrace the cozy,

Introspective energy of this rainy day,

Allowing you to stay grounded and present,

No matter the weather outside.

So go ahead and find a comfortable position,

Whether that's seated or lying down.

And then gently close your eyes if that feels safe.

And take a deep breath in.

And breathe in the soothing sound of the rain if you hear it.

And the fresh,

Earthy scent it brings.

And as you exhale,

Release any heaviness or gloom that might be lingering in your mind.

And now,

Let your breath settle into its own gentle rhythm.

Each inhale filling you with warmth.

And each exhale wrapping you in a blanket of calm and coziness.

Now bring your awareness to your body.

Feel the surface beneath you,

Steady,

Supporting you,

Like the earth absorbing the raindrops outside.

Notice the temperature of the air on your skin,

The gentle touch of your clothes,

And the way your body rests against the surface that's supporting you.

Let yourself be held.

And remind yourself that it's okay to slow down today.

To lean into the quiet and stillness that rainy days offer.

As you keep breathing,

Bring your focus to your heart space now.

Rainy days are an invitation to turn inward,

To find comfort in the small things.

The cozy warmth of your blanket,

The sound of raindrops tapping against a window,

Or the light of a candle on your desk.

Inhale deeply,

Filling your heart with a sense of contentment.

And as you exhale,

Let any worries about the weather or the day ahead melt away.

Trust that even when the world outside is grey,

You can create light and warmth within.

Sometimes actually,

The rain can feel like a pause button,

Asking us to slow down and reconnect with ourselves.

Take a deep breath in now,

And as you do,

Fill yourself with a sense of calm and ease.

And as you exhale,

Imagine the rain washing away any tension,

Leaving you refreshed and renewed.

Find the joy in the cozy moments,

Appreciate the stillness that the rain brings.

Now,

Visualize yourself standing in a small,

Cozy cabin,

With a window looking out at the rain.

Outside,

The raindrops fall gently,

Creating ripples on the puddles and soaking into the earth.

And inside,

You are warm,

Safe and at peace.

With each inhale,

Breathe in the cozy comfort of the space.

And with each exhale,

Release any mood or emotion that doesn't belong.

Allow the weather to be just as it is,

While you stay grounded,

Centred and content in your own little sanctuary.

Take one more deep breath in,

Filling yourself with a sense of gratitude for this cozy time.

And as you exhale,

Feel the rain outside nurturing the earth and nature,

Just as you nurture yourself by pausing and being present.

When you're ready,

Slowly bring your awareness back to the room,

Wiggle your fingers and toes,

And know that you carry the sense of warmth and peace with you as you move through your day,

Rain or shine.

Take one final deep breath.

And when you're ready,

Gently open your eyes.

Namaste.

Welcome back.

Thank you for sharing this time with me today,

On this rainy day.

I hope you carry this cozy feeling with you,

No matter what the weather brings.

If you'd like to kick off your day with another meditation tomorrow,
