Welcome to this meditation for a stress-free holiday season.
I'm Sarasinna Croce and I'll be your guide today.
I'm recording this from my home office in Switzerland on a cloudy November day.
This is your time to pause and embrace the spirit of the holidays with ease and calm.
Let's release the pressure,
Quiet the busyness of the mind,
And create spaciousness for relaxation,
Joy,
Meaningful connections,
And the grounding needed to navigate different perspectives with ease.
So,
Let's meditate.
Find a comfortable position.
You can be seated or lying down,
With your hands resting gently in your lap or at your sides.
If it feels safe,
You can gently close your eyes now and take a deep breath in through your nose,
Feeling your chest rise fully.
Hold it for a moment and now exhale slowly through your mouth,
Releasing any tension or stress.
Take another deep breath,
This time imagining that you're breathing in a sense of calm and clarity.
Hold it and as you exhale,
Let go of any pressure,
Any feelings of overwhelm.
And now just let your breath settle into this natural rhythm.
Each inhale bringing calm and each exhale releasing what you no longer need.
Now bring your attention to your body.
Notice how it feels in this moment.
Are there any areas of tightness or tension?
Start at the top of your head and slowly work your way down,
Relaxing all the muscles in your body.
Soften your forehead and relax the muscles around your eyes.
Let your jaw unclench and your shoulders drop away from your ears.
Feel your arms grow really heavy.
Feel a slight tingling in your hands and fingers.
Now notice the rise and fall of your chest as your breath flows naturally.
Allow your belly to soften,
Releasing any tension there as well.
Feel the support beneath your lower back,
Your upper back,
Your legs and your feet.
And just let your entire body settle into a state of ease.
And now imagine yourself in a cozy,
Peaceful holiday setting.
Maybe you're by a warm fire wrapped in a soft blanket.
Or maybe you're in a quiet,
Snowy landscape watching snowflakes gently fall.
Wherever you are,
Let the space feel calm,
Inviting and entirely your own.
As you sit in this peaceful place,
Take a moment to reflect on what truly matters to you this holiday season.
Is it spending time with loved ones?
Sharing laughter and joy?
Making food together?
Or creating moments of stillness for yourself?
Whatever comes to mind,
Let it guide you toward the kind of holiday experience you want to create.
So now let's release the expectations that often come with this season.
Imagine a big bag by your side.
A Santa Claus bag.
And with each exhale,
Imagine yourself stuffing all the shoulds and musts that have been weighing you down into the bag.
Put away the need to please everyone,
The perfectionism and the hustle.
Really feel how your body gets lighter as you let these burdens go and stuff them all into Santa's bag.
He will take care of it and bring you back to the North Pole to dispose.
Now bring your focus inward again,
Grounding yourself firmly in your own center.
Feel the strength and calm that comes from connecting with your true self.
Notice how this groundedness gives you the calm and clarity to navigate the holiday season.
Even when faced with different opinions,
Unexpected situations,
Or the energy of others that may not be as grounded as yours.
Imagine yourself responding to these moments calmly and with quiet confidence.
Because you are rooted in your own values and peace.
Breathe in deeply into the sense of inner strength,
Trusting that you have the calm and steadiness to handle anything that comes your way.
Take a deep breath in again.
And as you exhale,
Silently repeat the following affirmations.
I am grounded and calm.
I release stress and make space for what matters most.
I choose connection and joy over perfection.
And I meet every moment with ease and grace.
Let these words settle deeply within you,
Grounding you in this sense of peace and presence.
Now visualize the coming days of the holiday season and see yourself moving through them with ease and grace.
Prioritizing what truly brings you joy.
See yourself saying yes to the moments that matter and no thank you to the things that feel overwhelming.
And picture yourself creating meaningful connections,
Whether it's a heartfelt conversation,
A quiet moment with someone you love,
Or just simply spending time by yourself.
Feel the strength and calm that comes from being grounded in yourself,
Allowing you to truly embrace the joy of the season.
Breathe deeply into this vision of your calm,
Joyful and stress-free holiday.
And know that you have the power to choose how you move through this time,
Guided by your own needs and values.
And now just enjoy this moment of stillness and peace.
Feel the sense of calm and ease you've created,
Holding you like a warm embrace.
And then slowly bring your awareness back to your breath.
Just let your body breathe for you.
And when you're ready,
Slowly bring your awareness back to that present moment.
Wiggle your fingers and toes.
And when you're ready,
You can gently open your eyes and carry the sense of calm and clarity with you as you move through the holidays,
Grounded in yourself and choosing joy,
Presence and meaningful connections.
Happy holidays.
Namaste.
Thank you for spending this time with me today.
Please come back to this meditation whenever you need it,
Whenever you feel like you need another moment of calm and grounding.
