Welcome friends,
Welcome to a journey of relaxation with a scan of the body within our mind's eye.
Within our body we can sometimes feel frustration,
Stress or tension.
We can feel fractious or restless within our limbs.
We might feel anxiety within stomach,
Chest or that weight that can settle upon our shoulders in troubled times.
Here I offer you simple guidance to release and relax the body as we find a place of calm.
Take your time to find your restful place for meditation.
You can be laying on the ground or seated but make sure that you are comfortable,
Warm and supported.
During this journey I will guide you through the body,
Relaxing each part in turn,
Some time for quiet and I will welcome you back when the time comes.
But for now close your eyes and know that you are safe.
Take time to let the breath be easeful and unhurried.
You have held yourself strong today but now it is time to allow your body to be supported by whatever is beneath you.
Cushions,
Blankets,
Carpet,
Earth.
And for this journey within our mind's eye,
You'll journey through the body in simple mantra so you may say to yourself within your mind's eye,
I relax my toes,
My feet and my ankles.
My toes,
My feet and my ankles are relaxed.
I relax my legs,
My knees and my kneecaps.
My legs,
My knees and my kneecaps are relaxed.
I relax my hips and my low back.
My hips and my low back are relaxed.
I relax my tummy and my chest as they gently rise and fall with my breath.
My tummy and chest are relaxed.
I relax my heart as it beats,
Easily settling into settling into calm.
My heart is relaxed.
I relax my shoulders,
Arms and elbows all the way to the tips of my fingers.
My arm,
Elbow,
Wrists,
Hands and fingers are relaxed.
I relax the muscles of my neck and my jaw,
Moving up through the little muscles of face,
Eyes and forehead,
All the way to the very top of my head.
My neck and jaw and head are relaxed.
I allow myself to relax from the tips of my toes to the top of my head.
A chance here to simply let the body go.
Every muscle,
Every bone,
Every joint,
Every tendon,
Release,
Let go,
Be in peace.
And just perhaps when you feel ready,
We'll take some deeper breaths,
Maybe wiggle your fingers and toes and take a long luxurious stretch of the body,
Easing through the muscles and limbs.
I welcome you back to your day.
May your ongoing journey be filled with ease.
Thank you and I hope to journey with you again soon.
Farewell for now.
