Greetings,

Friends,

And welcome.

The goddesses are waiting,

But there is no rush.

To connect to the power and energy of the goddess can inspire us to do great things in our day,

To stand tall,

To feel strong,

To speak our truth.

But sometimes the greatest thing the goddesses can offer us is a chance to truly let go and to rest and to sleep.

So this meditation is intended to help you settle and relax into sleep and into rest.

So it may be that you're just getting ready for bed now,

Or maybe you have been in bed a while and find yourself unable to sleep,

Maybe unable to let go of some busy thoughts of the day.

Either way,

Hopefully this journey will help you let go and sink into nourishing,

Gorgeous,

Beautiful sleep.

So let's prepare for our journey.

You might want to plump up your pillows and wrap yourself in your blanket,

But on your pajamas and your comfiest clothes.

Feel warm and comfortable.

Feel the support of the softness beneath you and the warmth surrounding you.

As the time comes,

If we haven't already,

To gently close the eyes,

We'll just begin to connect to the breath,

Nothing more,

Nothing less.

Just the gentle rise and fall,

The ebb and flow.

Allow each inhale,

Take your time,

Fill the lungs easefully.

As we exhale,

Let the breath release and the tummy and chest fall.

Easeful inhales,

Easeful exhales as the breath comes to calm.

Allow the body to settle into the earth.

Allow any tensions or tightnesses to release from the muscles,

Joints and the bones.

Just allowing your body to be supported by that lovely soft breath.

We'll continue that easeful,

Restful breath throughout our meditation.

Though we will journey in the mind,

The breath will stay as calm and restful as the body settles in.

In the mind's eye,

We'll envisage ourselves walking barefoot along a path that is soft underfoot.

The path may be green grass,

Soft blades gently bending underfoot.

Springy moss that sends a flurry of scent of grounded earth and fresh greenery as you make each step.

Maybe rounded cobblestone so it feels smooth under your toes.

Or circles of wood or stone like stepping stones to a secret destination.

As we walk along our path,

We see above us a great strip of velvety night sky.

Stars sparkling like diamonds.

Either side of us great tall trees loom,

Sheltering us from sound and wind.

We feel peaceful and quiet in this place as we journey along our path,

Unhurried in our steps.

As the trees gently channel us towards a great large wooden door set into a stone wall.

As we approach,

The door gently opens and a figure appears in the doorway.

They step forward into the light of the stars and the moon and you recognise their face as your own.

The bigger smiles are you.

You see that this version of you is your best self.

Full of smiles and sparkly eyes,

Rosy cheeks and quick laughter.

As you look upon them,

You feel joy and warmth but also a little weary.

They look at you and understand.

They hold out their hands to yours.

They are warm as they grasp your hands.

And without a word,

Your best self seems to say to you,

He will be back here soon enough.

He will be your best self once more.

He will light up the room once again.

You simply need a little time to rest,

Brave traveller.

Time to pause on your journey and take time for yourself.

You smile and feel hope.

As your other self gently turns and guides you through the doorway,

You immediately feel a sense of warmth and gentle light.

The corridor before you is lit either side by candles,

Their light flickering and casting shadows around you.

You smell scents of lavender and jasmine.

This place feels warm and sacred and you feel safe as your other self guides you along the corridor.

As you travel along this corridor,

Every step you take,

You are leaving behind the worries of the day,

Thoughts and troubles,

Ideas that have been whirling around in your mind.

As you journey down this corridor,

They all begin to feel very far away,

Very small.

You can leave them safely with the day as we journey into night and into rest.

As you reach the end of the corridor,

Your other self gives you a great big hug.

Around your shoulders,

They wrap a beautiful cloak of the softest fabrics,

Shining silk,

Soft luxurious velvet.

This cloak is coloured like the night sky,

Deep blues and blacks and indigos,

With little sparkling stars embroidered upon it.

You look down and admire the cloak in your hands,

Sweeping around your arms and shoulders.

As you look up,

Your other self is gone,

But you know they are not far away.

At the end of the corridor,

You step through a threshold and into a great room.

The room is large,

But the ceiling low and curved so it feels sheltered and cosy.

Candles line the walls.

In the centre of the room is a beautiful bed,

Carved from natural materials.

It might be a great stone-curled platform.

It might be carved wood,

Creating great four posters,

Growing tall like a tiny forest,

Encapsulating a restful place.

As you approach this beautiful bed,

As if from nowhere,

From this circular room,

With seemingly no edges,

Women step forward from the shadows and surround you in a circle,

But you feel only love from them.

They smile,

They knew you were coming.

These women are the goddesses,

And they are here to help you journey into sleep.

The first goddess to step forward is a woman that stands by a beautiful open fire,

And the golden red of her hair matches the flames that flicker and casts light and warmth around the room.

This is Hestia,

The goddess of hearth and home,

And for you she has woven a beautiful blanket,

So soft.

She leaves her task of tending the fire,

Picks up this blanket.

She guides you over to the soft bed as you begin to make yourself comfortable.

She helps get you settled on the soft mattress and throws the warm blanket over you as you settle amongst soft pillow and soft blankets.

Hestia helps you feel at home,

Here within your body,

And here within this beautiful space,

This beautiful place.

She gives you a warm smile and turns back to tend the fire.

The next goddess to step forward is Aphrodite,

The goddess of all things love,

And in her arms she carries a great shell like the clam shell on which she was born.

It holds warm water,

With gentle pearlescent bubbles bob on top of the water,

And with absolute love she gently bathes and washes your hands and feet,

Dabbing them dry and wrapping them back up in blankets.

And then so skillfully,

As though washing each strand,

She takes the water and passes it through your hair.

She cleans each part of every hair so thoroughly that she cleans your hair.

She is actually washing away every busy thought,

Every trouble or worry that has been dancing around in your mind.

As she deftly weaves her fingers through your hair,

She whisks away these thoughts,

Washing them clean with the bubbles and water.

And as she runs her hands through your hair one final time,

She whisks away every last thought of the day,

Washed clean.

She smiles at you and places a gentle kiss upon your forehead,

Before whisking away her water and shell,

To let you rest your restful head back upon the pillows.

You're feeling very restful now.

As beautiful Celtic goddess Keridwyn appears with her cauldron,

She stirs the magical liquid inside.

This cauldron is a symbol of transformation,

A new beginning and rebirth.

And so,

To help you be rested and reborn a fresh tomorrow,

Just for you,

Keridwyn has stirred up a beautiful concoction of essential oils and scents.

And plumes of coloured smoke rise from the cauldron and drift around your bed and around your body.

And you smell beautiful scents of lavenders,

Roses,

Exotic ylang ylang,

Flowers that help you feel calm and restful.

Keridwyn smiles and gently steps back to stir her cauldron,

Continuing to allow the plumes of coloured smoke to surround you in colour and softness,

There are four goddesses left in this circle of goddesses around you.

And they step forward all at once.

They are Diana,

Selene,

Hina and Artemis,

All goddesses of the moon.

They each wear a beautiful silver gown and they glow with the cool gentle light of the moon.

They are here simply to remind you that just like the moon,

We will wax and wane and our energies will go through cycles.

And even on nights when we cannot sleep,

We can allow the goddess and her moonbeams to gently shine upon us,

Washing away worries and tensions,

More and more entirely relieving us of the weights we carry upon our shoulders during the day.

The moon goddesses are always here to watch over you.

For nights when you can sleep and for nights when you can't.

They are here to watch and to guide and to comfort.

Your moon goddesses walk a slow and steady circle around you,

Creating a circle of moonly protection that is around you always.

And though they step back and disappear from view,

You are aware that they are always here.

Each of your surrounding goddesses,

Your guardians,

Has done her part for you this evening.

And just as they appeared,

As you gently fall into rest and sleep,

They disappear around the edges of the room,

Gone but not quite.

The flickering of Hestia's light still shines upon the walls.

The gentle glow of the moon is still somewhere above you.

The unconditional love and compassion still resides within your hair and the scent from the cauldron still clings in gentle wisps above you.

As the moon goddesses and I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest.

It is time,

My darling,

To sleep,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Goddess,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Goddess,

Sleep.

I will gently leave you now to rest,

The music will play a little longer and you can rest,

Well obviously that worked because one minute I was listening to your lovely voice, looking forward to meeting the first goddess, and the next, I found myself fast asleep. I trust that my subconscious took it all in 🥰🙏

I return to this guidance again and again and have not made it through the whole meditation at night😅 Today I listened to it mid-day to help me rest at the start of my blood cycle. I got emotional at the end when the moon Goddesses came forward, I felt them, and am deeply grateful that you included Hina among them, the moon Goddess of my culture🙏🏽♥️ Thank you so much.
