Greetings friends.
As we settle into rest and as we settle into the evening time,
We'll take 15 minutes here as I guide you into a place of rest and into a place of self-love.
Hopefully we can slip into dream time with a little extra love for ourselves.
So take your time,
Create your glorious comfortable space,
Arrange your cushions and your pillows,
Your blankets and your duvets.
Allow yourself to feel completely supported by the softness beneath you and feel gratitude for this place of warmth and rest and that you can be here,
Restful,
Easeful and safe.
Let's begin simply by taking long,
Easeful breaths,
Taking a little time to fill the lungs on the inhale and empty them on the exhale.
Slow and easeful breaths,
Helping guide us into peace and into calm.
And with each exhale,
Imagine perhaps you are letting go,
Just a little more,
Sinking,
Just a little softer into the bed beneath you.
And here from this restful place,
We'll take a little time to send some love and gratitude to our bodies.
If it feels comfortable to do so,
Feel free here to gently rest the hands on your thighs or hips or you might just want to bring your mind's eye to the area of your lower body,
Your legs,
Your knees,
Your ankles.
Allow your awareness for just a moment to hover above the feet and ankles.
Thank your feet for allowing you to root into the earth,
To stand strong,
To stand in your power even when we don't feel that powerful.
Your feet are still there,
Rooting into the earth,
Providing you your strong foundation.
And as we bring our attention to our legs,
Our knees,
Our strong thighs,
Thank your legs for allowing you to stand tall.
Sometimes we feel unsure,
Sometimes we feel fearful,
But your legs keep you standing strong however you feel.
They allow you to walk and run and jump and swim.
Sometimes they may be tired,
Sometimes they may ache,
But your legs support you all the time.
Next we send a little love to our beautiful hips that allow us to move and sway with music,
To find our balance,
To steady ourselves in strong winds.
Our hips give us the freedom of movement,
To find our flow and find our movement.
Thank you hips.
As we send love and gratitude to our legs and lower body.
As we move up our body,
Maybe lay the hands on your tummy or chest or heart,
Anywhere in the centre of your body that feels nice,
Or simply bring your awareness to this area.
Sending love to our beautiful tummies,
Soft and warm.
Feel how your tummy and chest rise and fall with the breath.
Tummy and chest,
Your very centre,
Your very core.
Housing all your most delicate organs,
Allowing you to be wonderful you.
And within that chest beats your beautiful heart.
It may have had some knocks and scrapes along your journey,
But it beats strong,
It beats steady.
It allows you to love and be loved.
It allows you to go forth into this world and be a force of beautiful,
Gorgeous love.
Thank you heart.
Allow your attention now to sweep over your shoulders,
Arms,
Elbows and hands.
These beautiful limbs that allow us to wave,
To gesture,
To create beautiful shapes in dance,
In movement and create things in craft.
Thank you beautiful arms and beautiful hands.
Allow your attention to sweep through your neck and throat and jaw.
Thank these beautiful spaces for allowing you to speak your truth,
To sing,
To call,
To be heard.
And finally we'll allow our attention to sweep over our face and eyes and the very top of our heads.
Our eyes that allow us to see the world in all its beauty.
Our mind's eye that rests between the eyebrows and allows us to see the beauty within ourselves.
Here we send love and gratitude to our entire body.
This marvelous,
Miracle body that allows us to live our lives dancing and singing in sunshine.
And as we rest in this comfortable place,
We thank our body and allow it now its time to rest,
To sink,
To settle and to surrender.
It is time my darlings to embrace the body with love and sink into rest.
May your dreams be sweet and your love be endless.
