Breath as medicine.

Today at the slice of time,

I notice that I need something.

Maybe it's healing,

Help,

A pause,

Silence,

A time out,

A gathering of all my thoughts.

I need to breathe.

Yes.

Most importantly,

I need to breathe.

I need to find my breath and open my chest and find my voice.

I need to breathe simple,

Priceless,

Air filling up my lungs and giving me a chance to see.

To see me just the way I am.

To be me just the way I am.

This breath that is my birthright and that no one can take away from me,

Fills my lungs and I feel free.

Free of judgment,

Free of self-doubt,

Free of my unnecessary thoughts.

This breath is my medicine right now,

Right here.

I take in the medicine and I do feel the healing,

The help,

The pause,

The silencing.

I am breathing and that is all I need at this moment.

Today,

My medicine is breathing and breathing even more.
