This guided meditation was recorded live after a guided holotropic breathwork and DMT breath work session. This meditation is an introspective scan of the sensations that are coming up. The meditation is designed to connect us to the "what is" and say YES to whatever is coming up as an observer. Calm awareness as a guide into the present moment.

So Now wherever you are,

Laying down,

Sitting down,

Just sitting with the sensations,

Begin to recognize what's coming up,

Maybe what you're feeling,

Maybe even ask the question,

What am I feeling?

What is arising for me in this moment?

Is it feelings of confidence?

Is it feelings of hurt?

Is it feelings of happiness and joy?

Is it happiness of sorrow?

And whatever that is that's coming up,

Just recognizing it and begin to say yes to it.

Not yes,

I accept it,

But yes,

I am recognizing that it is coming up and yes,

It is part of this experience.

Yes,

It has arrived,

Yes,

I feel you.

As these feelings come up,

We begin to recognize parts of ourselves that maybe were buried deep,

They're buried deep on the other side of our hurt or on the other side of our ego or the other side of our vulnerability.

And now as we open the floodgates to our nervous system and sit with what is,

We can begin to witness and observe and allow.

I don't want you to change anything.

Your experiences of your past and the way you feel is how you feel.

This is part of your journey.

This is,

You're here.

You're here with it after breath work,

Sitting in a space and asking the question,

What is coming up for me?

Maybe even asking a second question,

Can I sit with this feeling that's coming up for me?

We move into our December and holiday season.

Many feelings come up,

Feelings from past memories,

Times of scarcity,

Expectations,

Wants and needs.

All these things come up.

They come up as part of our experience.

And again,

We ask what is coming up for me?

Can I sit with this?

Most in this calm awareness.

I see you.

I see you.

I'm sitting with this,

Allowing it to be part of my experience.

As we begin to start to allow this to be here,

Knowing that we can't change it now,

All we can do is sit with it.

You begin to investigate where this feeling lives in your body.

This feeling maybe had stored itself deep behind the space behind your stomach.

Maybe it stored itself behind your heart.

Just even bringing your hands to that space where you feel as though that sensation is arising from,

Where it lives.

Where has it decided to attach itself physically into your experience?

Even just bringing your hands to the heart or onto your hip.

Maybe to your lower back.

I feel this.

Just investigating where it lives in your body.

Identifying it.

I think I said it in a previous session where we identify Mara,

The story of Mara and Buddha.

Just identifying that that ails us.

When we identify it takes its power away.

It takes its power away.

We identified it.

I feel you.

You live right behind my heart.

This feeling of maybe inadequacy,

Fear.

It lives right behind my heart and I see you.

And as we identify this,

Whatever is coming up for you,

We begin to nurture it.

Maybe words like I love you.

I am listening to you.

I love you.

I hear you.

I am more than that story.

I am my own alchemist.

These chemicals surging through my body were at my will and my desire.

I control how my heart rate speeds up and slows down.

I control these things.

I just needed to remember.

I needed to find the tools again so I could remember.

As we move into holiday season,

A lot of these feelings will come up and we don't know where they came from.

Trapped somewhere deep beneath,

Deep underneath,

In the darkest places within us.

So as we breathe,

We send oxygen there to be able to bring them to the surface so we can identify and then take away the power that it has over our body.

Del Carnity talked about the fatigue that's often caused in our bodies in our day.

I know in the holiday season we tend to find ourselves very tired.

We have things to do and places to be.

Days often caused not by work but by worry and frustration and resentment.

What if you could have 20% of your energy back at the end of the day just by removing that worry and frustration.

You're 20% more energized.

20% more able to show up.

Winston Churchill talked about when I look back on all these worries,

I remember the story of an old man who said on his deathbed that he had a lot of trouble in his life,

Most of which never happened.

So here in this moment of now,

In this moment maybe holding yourself tenderly,

There's nothing wrong with us.

We search so far for people to hold us but we don't always spend the time to hold ourselves tenderly.

Saying,

I feel.

We began our meditation recognizing what was coming up,

Just allowing it to be done.

Saying,

I see you.

It's okay.

It's okay.

Thank you for showing up.

Yes.

I'm saying yes to these sensations,

Some of which are very uncomfortable.

I'm saying yes.

I'm saying yes to the ones that feel good and I'm saying yes to the ones that don't feel good so I can identify them.

Love them,

Nurture them,

Bring them to the surface.

I'm reminded of a story,

A very famous story,

The story of the Native American grandfather talking to his two grandsons about two wolves that live within all of us.

There is one wolf,

The wolf the grandfather says.

That wolf is the wolf of fear and anxiety and sorrow and hurt,

Anger.

There is another wolf,

This is the wolf of joy and peace and love and compassion.

This is the wolf of truth.

These two wolves,

Grandfather says,

Are constantly at battle,

Always one trying to out win the other,

Fear trying to overcome that of peace and anxiety trying to destroy that of joy.

Constantly a battle between the two.

Maybe witnessing these two wolves fight.

One of the grandchildren says to the grandfather,

But grandfather,

Certainly one wolf will win.

Which one will win,

Grandfather?

The grandfather stood for a moment and looked at his grandchild and said,

Grandson,

The wolf that you feed will win.

Are you feeding fear and anxiety or are you feeding joy,

Peace,

Compassion?

You see,

Fear is all around us.

The courage is not the opposite.

Love is the opposite of our fear.

And when we spend our time in this place feeding love and compassion,

We have no time for fear.

Slowly beginning to come back into the room.

Maybe opening your eyes as you feel ready.

Looking around and making yourself acquainted with the room,

The space that you are in.

And welcoming yourself back with this newfound yes.

Yes to today.

Yes to this week.

Yes to this holiday season.

Yes.

I'm showing up.

Yes.

Yes.
