This is a Metta Meditation (loving-kindness) that includes the soft sounds of a running stream and in the background is a native drone flute. The practice is grounding and promotes self-acceptance, self-love, while opening the door to share that love that is within us all.

Starting today's meditation in the most comfortable position that you can,

Whether that be lying down,

Sitting down,

Kneeling,

Supported or unsupported by pillows or blocks.

Just come to where you feel that you can lie for a few moments and not be disturbed and also not need to adjust or move.

You come into this position.

Just close down the eyes.

Take a giant breath in through your nose,

Just filling your lungs,

Allow your heart to rise.

And slowly we will release your breath,

Feeling your chest deflate.

On your next inhale,

Breathe in through the nose.

Feel the ribs expand,

Feel your chest rise,

Your heart radiating,

And then release.

Start to draw awareness into this space where your heart is,

This space in the center of your chest.

With each breath,

Just really becoming aware and bringing attention to that area.

Other areas of your body may still have feelings and thoughts and still may be part of your peripheral feelings,

But I'd like you to really release them.

If you feel uncomfortable in the feet or the knees,

Just make an adjustment and then release thought of that area.

Hips,

Just making any last adjustments and releasing.

Rolling the shoulders back,

Take a breath in and release.

You are immersed in life,

Outside and inside.

You can radiate that feeling of love out to the universe.

You can also draw that feeling in,

Filling your own cup.

All of us have that ability.

No one has one special ability over another.

We all have the ability to bring love in and to push it back out.

We came here not to find love,

But to remember that we are love.

Everyone is counted and everyone is important in this effort of love.

Knowing that you are love,

Imagine what that would look like at the center of your chest.

Maybe a green swirling ball of energy.

Just take a breath in,

See that ball of energy begin to swirl faster and brighten,

Releasing,

Re-dispersing some of that energy down the limbs.

Take a breath in,

See that ball of green brighten and then release.

Now that you know that you are love and you can see that love within you,

Just starting a little bit of an affirmation,

Reconfirming this self-love and self-compassion for yourself.

Just saying these words,

Maybe just to yourself or out loud if you feel comfortable.

May I be helping.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be at ease.

May I be helping.

May I be safe.

May I be happy.

May I be at ease.

Just feeling that mantra,

That affirmation that swirls within that green energy around your heart.

Knowing that it is more than enough for you.

Like for you to draw your attention into someone who you feel especially fond of.

Someone who you have been maybe mentored by,

Shared love with or taught by.

Someone who you find that you respect and care for deeply.

Sharing them a small piece of that green energy that's swirling around your heart.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

Just repeating to yourself as you send this message out to that loved one.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

Keeping your awareness around the space around your heart.

Feeling it lift as you breathe in.

And that brightening energy each inhalation and each exhalation.

Just sharing a small piece of that energy down the limbs and through the crown of your head.

I'd like for you to draw attention towards a stranger.

Maybe someone you passed on the road today or in a grocery store and a gas station or maybe just in a random meeting.

You may not know this person's name but you would recognize their face.

This stranger also counts and is entitled to love.

Just saying to yourself or out loud.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

Taking a breath in acknowledging that burning green ball of energy in the center of your chest.

Take a breath in and then slowly releasing it down the limbs with your exhale.

Now knowing that all individuals do not align with our opinions.

They do not always align with our beliefs.

We do not always get along.

We have other emotions other than love that sometimes we share.

Sometimes these people are those who we would bypass.

We may be in arguments with them.

I want you to think about a person who maybe you feel that you are not so aligned with.

Someone who is deserving of love,

Is deserving of forgiveness.

To drive them into your mind either repeating aloud or to yourself.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

May you be helping.

May you be safe.

May you be happy.

May you be at ease.

Take a breath in.

Feel that firing green energy within yourself as you breathe it brightens and with your next exhale releasing it to the universe.

Knowing that you can come back to this space anytime.

That that love is not something that you acquire.

It's something that you are.

You are simply remembering that you came here as love.

Namaste.
